Job description

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced HCHB (Homecare Homebase) EMR Systems Analyst to support, maintain, and enhance our HCHB EMR system. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of the home health and hospice domain and demonstrate the ability to troubleshoot, resolve, and optimize system usage for clinical and administrative users. This role requires technical proficiency in the HCHB system, as well as knowledge of healthcare compliance, regulations, and clinical workflows.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all user-reported issues and inquiries related to the HCHB EMR system.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical and workflow-related problems within the HCHB application in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with end users (clinicians, administrative staff, and leadership) to understand system usage challenges and deliver effective resolutions.
  • Maintain documentation of issues, resolutions, and best practices to support knowledge transfer and training.
  • Ensure system configuration aligns with current home health and hospice regulatory requirements and agency policies.
  • Provide expertise in home health and hospice terminology, compliance, and clinical documentation standards.
  • Support training initiatives by offering guidance or developing materials for system usage and best practices.
  • Participate in testing and validation of HCHB system updates, enhancements, and new features.
  • Liaise with HCHB vendor support and internal IT/clinical teams as needed to resolve complex issues.
Qualifications:
Required:
  • Proven experience working with the HCHB (Homecare Homebase) EMR system.
  • Strong understanding of home health and hospice care workflows, documentation, and regulatory compliance.
  • Background in healthcare, clinical informatics, or health IT.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple user requests and system tickets effectively.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with HIPAA and other healthcare compliance requirements.
Preferred:
  • Clinical certification (e.g., RN, LPN, PT) or background in nursing or allied health.
  • Experience working with IT support tools (ticketing systems, remote support platforms).
