We are seeking an outcome-driven, entrepreneurial leader to serve as our Head of Operations (the highest operational role at IntellectEU, COO equivalent). In this highly strategic role, you will drive the organization's operational execution and oversee daily functions during a critical high-growth stage. As a mature venture-backed company, we are uniquely focused on rapid scaling and value creation. The ideal candidate is a tech-first, AI-driven thinker who thrives outside of corporate bureaucracy. You will be responsible for executing the value creation plan, streamlining operations, and scaling our remote-first, multicultural team (250+ employees) to align with our aggressive strategic goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Execution: Establish and scale the necessary back-office structure to support rapid organizational growth in alignment with the company's strategic goals and venture-backed value creation plan.
  • Operational Excellence: Develop, implement, and continually refine operational policies and procedures. Optimize and automate workflows using a technology-first, AI-driven mindset to streamline cadence in a high-growth scale-up environment.
  • Financial & Resource Management: Manage the company budget, forecast financial performance, and ensure the highly effective allocation of resources. Act as a true P&L owner, utilizing financial metrics to make data-driven decisions.
  • Compliance & Security: Ensure total compliance with legal, regulatory, and tax requirements. Establish, implement, maintain, and continually improve an Information Security Management System (ISMS) in strict accordance with ISO 27001 requirements.
  • Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and elevate the global operations team, fostering a culture of accountability, efficiency, and continuous improvement across a distributed workforce.
  • Stakeholder Alignment: Communicate seamlessly with senior management, customers, and partners to provide transparent updates on operational activities, progress, and bottleneck resolutions.

Requirements:

  • Education: Master's degree in Business Administration, Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: 10+ years of progressive experience in top operations positions within fintech or adjacent technology industries.
    • Proven track record in optimizing and scaling operations within a mature private-equity backed or venture-backed organization is highly desirable.
    • Past experience in CEO, CFO, or COO roles, or experience as a mid-level entrepreneur/P&L owner in a large corporation/bank who is tired of bureaucracy and eager for a dynamic, agile environment.
    • Experience and ability to drive and unite a broadly distributed, multicultural team of 250+ members across 7 offices in the US and Europe, and remote employees.
    • Travel Requirement: Requires a moderate amount of travel to all of our office locations across Europe and the US to maintain strong cross-regional alignment.
