Job description

Description Summary The Data and Analytics Manager supports the College's mission by transforming institutional data into actionable insights that inform strategic planning, enrollment forecasting, institutional effectiveness, and student success initiatives. This position is responsible for managing and optimizing the College's data warehouse (ZogoTech), conducting advanced statistical analyses and predictive modeling, and supporting internal and external reporting requirements. This position may offer flexibility for a hybrid or remote work arrangement, subject to departmental needs and approval.

Other duties may be assigned. Conducts advanced statistical analyses and predictive modeling to support strategic enrollment forecasting, academic scheduling, and resource allocation. Manages and queries the College's data warehouse (ZogoTech) to extract, integrate, and analyze institutional data.

Translates complex analytical findings into clear, actionable insights tailored for stakeholders at all levels. Responds to ad hoc data requests from internal and external stakeholders with accurate, timely, and clearly presented information. Develops, maintains, and automates data reports, dashboards, and visualizations to track institutional key performance indicators.

Collaborates with all college units to align data initiatives with institutional goals. Develops and executes data validation procedures to maintain high-quality data standards and ensure the integrity, consistency, and reliability of institutional data. Extracts, cleans, and prepares data using programming languages such as SQL, Python, or SAS for use in reports, dashboards, and predictive models.

Develops and maintains documentation for data processes, reporting standards, and methodologies to ensure clarity, consistency, and repeatability. Ensures compliance with federal and state reporting requirements, including IPEDS and other mandated submissions. Supports planning and assessment processes, accreditation efforts, and strategic decision-making with high-quality data and analysis.

Assists with designing and administering surveys using platforms such as Qualtrics to gather both qualitative and quantitative data. Stays current with trends in higher education data analytics, strategic enrollment management, and institutional effectiveness. Supervisory Responsibilities This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

Minimum & Preferred Qualifications Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education Minimum: Bachelor's degree in data analytics, statistics, computer science, educational research, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Education Preferred: Master's degree in data analytics, institutional research, statistics, or related discipline. Experience Minimum: Two (2) to five (5) years of demonstrated experience in data analysis, predictive modeling, and/or institutional research, preferably in a higher education setting.

Experience Preferred: Experience with data warehousing systems, student information systems, and survey methodology. Additional Information Language Skills Ability to synthesize and communicate complex data in written, verbal, and graphical formats for diverse stakeholders. Ability to write professional reports, documentation, and data summaries.

Mathematical Skills Proficiency in statistical concepts including regression, correlation, and inferential statistics. Demonstrated ability to apply statistical models to real-world problems in education or related fields. Reasoning Ability Strong problem-solving skills with ability to analyze data trends, evaluate methods, and propose actionable recommendations.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced, data-driven environment. Computer Skills Proficient in statistical software and programming languages such as SQL, Python, R, or SAS. Proficient in data visualization platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and survey tools (e.g., Qualtrics)
