This position is uniquely positioned in a remote work setting that utilizes telehealth methodologies to reach our clients across Syracuse, New York, and beyond. You will leverage technology to conduct virtual therapy sessions, allowing for flexibility and accessibility. • Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate the mental health concerns of clients, ensuring precise clinical diagnoses and effective treatment plans.
• Provide individual, group, and family therapy using various evidence-based techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness practices tailored to each client’s specific needs.
• Facilitate crisis interventions by assessing and managing acute mental health crises, utilizing appropriate resources and referral processes.
• Maintain detailed and confidential client documentation, including treatment plans, progress notes, and comprehensive assessment results, adhering to ethical standards and legal requirements.
• Collaborate with diverse multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, social workers, and healthcare professionals, to coordinate integrated care for clients.
• Educate clients and their families about mental health issues, treatment modalities, and community resources while advocating for their rights and requirements.
• Engage in continuous professional development through participation in training sessions, workshops, and relevant educational opportunities to ensure the use of best practices in therapy.

Your role will focus on a diverse population, including individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and trauma, among other mental health challenges. You will engage with clients from different backgrounds, ensuring culturally competent care tailored to their unique experiences and needs.

• Valid state licensure as a Mental Health Therapist, such as LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R.
• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in counseling, social work, psychology, or a related field is essential.
• Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic capabilities, demonstrating familiarity with DSM-5 criteria.
• A minimum of two years of relevant experience in providing mental health services.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with diverse clients and team members.
• A proven ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team environment.
• Commitment to upholding high ethical and professional standards in therapy practice.

• Prior experience in a clinical or teletherapy setting is advantageous, though we are open to considering entry-level candidates eager to learn.
• Additional certifications in specialized therapeutic modalities or areas of mental health can be beneficial.

The salary for this position ranges from USD 85,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
