Status: Full-Time – Salary

Position Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Epicor Prophet 21 (P21) Administrator with 8+ years of hands-on ERP administration experience within a distribution environment.
This role goes beyond traditional system support. The P21 Senior Administrator will serve as the internal expert and strategic owner of the platform, responsible for expanding system capabilities, driving process improvement, and enabling the business to fully leverage P21 as a core operational tool.
The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise with strong business acumen and a proactive mindset, capable of transforming workflows, improving data visibility, and maximizing ERP-driven efficiency across the organization.

Key Responsibilities
ERP Ownership amp; Strategy
  • Serve as the primary owner and subject matter expert for Epicor Prophet 21 across the organization
  • Develop and execute a roadmap to expand functionality and drive deeper system adoption
  • Identify opportunities to replace manual processes with automated, scalable P21-driven solutions
  • Partner with leadership to align ERP capabilities with company growth and operational goals
System Administration amp; Optimization
  • Manage all aspects of P21 administration including user access, security, and system configuration
  • Optimize system performance, workflows, and data architecture
  • Lead system upgrades, enhancements, and feature rollouts in coordination with IT and external partners
  • Evaluate and implement new P21 modules and functionality
Business Process Improvement
  • Analyze current workflows across Sales, Operations, Accounting, and Customer Experience
  • Lead redesign of processes within P21 to improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability
  • Drive system standardization and enforce best practices across departments
  • Translate business requirements into system configuration and execute changes directly
Reporting amp; Data Management
  • Design and maintain advanced SQL queries, dashboards, and reporting tools
  • Ensure data integrity across customers, products, pricing, and transactions
  • Provide leadership with actionable insights through reporting and analytics
  • Support forecasting, inventory management, financial reporting, and operational KPIs
Integration amp; System Expansion
  • Manage integrations between P21 and connected systems (CRM, BI tools, EDI, eCommerce, etc.)
  • Lead initiatives to enhance system connectivity and eliminate data silos
  • Support initiatives involving Power BI, Salesforce, and other enterprise platforms
User Support amp; Training
  • Act as the highest level escalation point for P21-related issues
  • Develop and deliver training programs to improve system adoption and user proficiency
  • Create clear documentation, SOPs, and usage standards

Qualifications
Required
  • 8+ years of hands-on Epicor Prophet 21 administration experience within a distribution or industrial environment
  • Advanced knowledge of P21 configuration, data structures, and core modules
  • Strong SQL expertise with experience building reports and analyzing large datasets
  • Proven experience leading ERP-driven process improvements and system optimization
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with Sales, Accounting, Operations, and IT teams
