This Role:
The Regional Manager provides leadership and oversight for multi-site billing operations, including Emergency Department (ED) and Office-Based Billing teams. This role ensures operational performance, compliance, staff development, and continuous process improvement across assigned regions while aligning with organizational goals.
The ideal candidate will have proven managerial skills, excellent interpersonal communication, and experience in third-party billing.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee staffing plans, onboarding, and performance management
  • Drive results through workload management, A/R performance oversight, and denial trend mitigation
  • Coach and develop managers, supervisors, and team leads
  • Ensure adherence to billing regulations, HIPAA requirements, and internal compliance standards
  • Partner with senior leadership on operational improvement initiatives
  • Monitor key metrics and lead improvement efforts to increase efficiency and outcomes
  • Comply with all State and Federal Laws regarding an effective Compliance Program inclusive of HIPAA Privacy and Security

Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each Key Responsibility satisfactorily. The following requirements are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or ability required to perform this job successfully. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the duties.
Required:
  • 5+ years of medical billing experience, preferably including Emergency Medicine and/or Office-Based Billing
  • 3+ years of progressive management experience, including leadership of managers and teams of 20+ employees
  • Strong background in denial management, A/R reporting, and operational performance management
  • Prior word processing, spreadsheet and internet software experience including proficiency with MS Teams, Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
