Description & Requirements
Maximus is seeking a Social & Family Domain Lead to the Preservation of the Force and Family (POTFF) program. This senior-level role provides strategic, technical, and operational leadership for social and family readiness services that enhance Special Operations Forces (SOF) resilience, mission readiness, and career longevity. The Social & Family Domain Lead oversees programs that strengthen relationships, family stability, communication, social connection, unit cohesion, peer support, family integration, and preparedness. The position collaborates with multidisciplinary POTFF professionals, government stakeholders, operational leaders, service members, and families to deliver evidence-based, mission-focused support.
This position is pending upon contract award.
U.S. citizenship is required. Candidates must possess an active U.S. Government Secret security clearance or be eligible to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance as required for contract performance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope including facilitating and preparing all planning activities and artifacts.
- Oversee and manage large multi-project programs including planning, organizing, staffing, leading, and controlling program activities.
- Create and execute project work plans and revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
- Identify resources needed and assign individual responsibilities.
- Develop and maintain a master and individual resource plan and required documents for projects.
- Baseline all projects and capture actual metrics for historical metrics and Level of Effort (LoE) forecasting.
- Review deliverables prepared by team before providing to management and customers.
- Effectively apply the PMI methodology and enforce project standards on all projects.
- Prepare for engagement reviews and quality assurance procedures.
- Minimize risk exposure on projects.
- Communicate relevant project information to management, stakeholders, and customers.
- Resolve and/or escalate issues within a reasonable amount of time taking in consideration impact on the project.
- Ensure project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately.
- Track and maintain lessons learned and utilize lessons learned on subsequent projects.
- Ensure all projects are properly closed out.
- Supervise staff by providing direction, input, and performance feedback.
- Serve as escalation point to prioritizing workloads and resolving issues.
- Act as liaison for assigned vendor(s), including performance and SLA monitoring, and supporting system and business process changes.
- Participate in the drafting of vendor contracts, addendums, SOWs, RFPs/RFIs, change requests, and requirements.
- Lead continuous improvement teams.
- Lead the strategic direction, planning, execution, and continuous improvement of Social & Family Domain programs.
- Oversee services focused on relationship enhancement, family stability, communication, social connection, unit cohesion, peer mentoring, family integration, and preparedness.
- Ensure domain activities align with POTFF objectives, contract requirements, government priorities, and SOF operational needs.
- Collaborate across physical, psychological, cognitive, and spiritual domains to support integrated human performance and readiness.
- Engage SOF personnel, families, leadership, community partners, and medical and behavioral health providers to ensure services remain relevant, accessible, and effective.
- Use evidence-based practices, program data, performance measures, and outcome trends to evaluate effectiveness and recommend improvements.
- Advise program and government leadership on emerging needs, risks, service gaps, staffing considerations, and opportunities for innovation.
- Promote standardized practices, quality controls, documentation discipline, and consistent communication across assigned teams and locations.
- Provide leadership, coaching, and technical guidance to Social & Family Domain personnel and support professional development.
- Represent the domain in leadership forums, program reviews, working groups, and stakeholder engagements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in related field.
- 7-10 years of relevant professional experience required.
- Equivalent combination of education and experience considered in lieu of degree.
- Bachelor's degree in human services, social work, family studies, psychology, counseling, sociology, public health, or a closely related field.
- At least two years of relevant experience in human services, family support, social services, military family readiness, community programming, or a related field.
- Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience managing staff, programs, or multidisciplinary service delivery.
- Working knowledge of family systems, human services principles, social support networks, community resources, and prevention-focused programming.
- Ability to build trust and communicate effectively with service members, families, clinicians, operational leaders, government customers, and community stakeholders.
- Strong program planning, problem-solving, decision-making, organizational, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Ability to analyze program data, evaluate outcomes, identify trends, and support continuous improvement.
- Proficiency with standard office technology, case-management systems, databases, and reporting tools.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen per contract requirements.
- Must possess an active U.S. Government Secret security clearance or be eligible to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance as required for contract performance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in social work, counseling, psychology, family studies, public health, human services, or a related discipline.
- Current professional license or credential relevant to social work, counseling, family services, or human services.
- Experience supporting SOF, military, tactical, federal, or other high-demand operational populations.
- Experience with POTFF or a comparable integrated readiness, resilience, human performance, or force-preservation program.
- Experience leading geographically dispersed teams or coordinating services across multiple locations.
- Familiarity with program evaluation, quality assurance, performance reporting, and data-informed decision-making.
