Church Engagement Director - Every Child Ministries

Reports to:Development Director
Location:Hebron, IN (ECM US Office), remote, or hybrid; must live in or close to the NWI Region
Schedule:~20 hours/week (Mon–Thurs 830a-1p CT; occasional Sundays/evenings)
Compensation:Support-raising role (minimum 50% of wages raised by staff member)

Position Summary

The Church Engagement Director builds and strengthens partnerships between ECM and churches by cultivating new relationships, deepening existing ones, and connecting churches to meaningful ministry opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

Church Engagement

  • Identify and connect with new churches

  • Build and maintain relationships with existing church partners

  • Present ECM’s mission and partnership opportunities

  • Recruit and support church liaisons/primary contacts

Grant Management

  • Research and pursue grant opportunities

  • Write, submit, and track grant proposals and reports

  • Maintain grant calendar and supporting documentation

Mission Trip Coordination

  • Plan and coordinate mission trips (logistics, communication, budgets)

  • Support participant fundraising and preparation

  • Manage pre- and post-trip communication and reporting

Team & Development Support

  • Collaborate on fundraising strategy and events

  • Maintain accurate church and donor records

  • Participate in team meetings and organizational activities

Qualifications

  • Committed Christian aligned with ECM’s mission, values, and Statement of Faith

  • Strong relationship-building and communication skills

  • Experience in fundraising or nonprofit development preferred

  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and dependable

  • Comfortable with basic office and database tools

Travel Requirements

  • Domestic travel at least twice monthly (primarily Midwest, occasional out-of-state)

  • Occasional international travel (Africa) as needed
