About the Role
The Regional Director of Operations -Utah/Idaho is responsible for leading and supporting a group of hospitals across the state. This leader drives alignment, collaboration, and operational performance across a diverse portfolio of hospitals.
Reporting to the Vice President of Operations, this individual partners closely with hospital leadership teams to improve performance, strengthen culture, and deliver an exceptional client and patient experience. This role requires regular travel throughout Tennessee to support teams on-site, build relationships, and execute key initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
People, Team, and Culture
- Build strong relationships with hospital teams to drive engagement and a positive, inclusive culture
- Coach and develop Hospital Administrators, Medical Directors, and leadership teams
- Partner with People Operations on recruiting, retention, and team member development strategies
- Conduct regular hospital visits to assess team health, identify opportunities, and support performance
- Champion Thrive's mission, values, and leadership principles across all hospitals
- Partner with hospital teams to understand local market dynamics and client needs
- Support strategies that drive client growth, retention, and community engagement
- Ensure hospitals maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment
- Reinforce a consistent, high-quality client and patient experience across all locations
- Partner with the VP of Operations and hospital leaders to set and achieve financial goals
- Monitor KPIs and drive performance improvements across hospitals
- Use data to identify trends, solve problems, and improve operational outcomes
- Ensure strong medical and operational standards, including workflow optimization and quality of care
- Leverage systems and tools to drive efficiency and consistency
- Ensure compliance with company policies and all regulatory requirements

- DVM or Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations, or a related field
- 3+ years of leadership experience in a multi-site environment
- Veterinary industry experience (Hospital Administrator, Medical Director, or similar) preferred
- General Practice and/or Emergency experience is a plus
- CVPM certification preferred but not required
