The Area Sales Director, East - Advanced Tissue Technologies position will assist and direct our sales team in with selling and marketing of the Convatec Triad Life Sciences products.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support, develop, and implement strategic sales plans
  • Develop strategy for territory, pricing and discounts
  • Direct staffing, training, and performance evaluations to develop and control sales program
  • Establish sales territories, quotas, and goals
  • Manage hybrid sales model of direct and distribution channels
  • Meet with key clients and distributors, assisting sales representatives and distributors with maintaining relationships and negotiating and closing deals
  • Train Surgical Sales Specialists and distributors in territory
  • Act as liaison between sales department and other departments such as Marketing, Customer Service, Distribution, and National Accounts
  • Analyze and control expenditures
  • Analyze and communicate sales statistics
  • Prepare periodic sales report
  • Collaborate with marketing to plan advertising and trade show participation
  • Travel expectation up to 50%
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management


 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Wound care experience preferred
  • 5-10 years' experience within orthopedic sales
  • 5+ years' experience medical device experience
  • 3-5 years managerial experience
  • Must be able to identify and manage independent distributors and contracts
  • Experience with marketing and selling medical products, equipment, and services to hospitals, health systems, doctors, and clinics
  • Discipline and excellent communication skills
  • Experience in leading a team of sales representatives
  • Ability to analyze sales statistics and understand trends
  • Ability to determine appropriate territory pricing and develop budgets and plans for the territory
