  • Implement crisis intervention strategies tailored to immediate client needs, including risk assessments and safety planning procedures.
  • Collaborate with a diverse network of community resources and agencies to ensure clients receive holistic support, including access to housing, employment, and health services.
  • Engage in community outreach initiatives designed to raise awareness about our Detox Center services and build strong community relationships.
  • Participate actively in case conferences and team meetings to enhance collaborative efforts and share best practices among colleagues.
  • Contribute to ongoing professional development through participation in training workshops and educational opportunities.
Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily focuses on assisting individuals experiencing substance use disorders and the accompanying social stressors that often exacerbate their situations. You will work directly with clients in crisis, as well as those seeking long-term recovery solutions, employing a trauma-informed care approach that addresses their emotional, psychological, and social needs.

Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
  • Current active licensure as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in the state of Washington.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of community resources and an understanding of the social determinants of health that affect substance use and recovery.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with an emphasis on cultural competence and empathy, enabling effective interactions with clients from diverse backgrounds.
  • Proficient problem-solving capabilities for navigating complex situations and advocating for clients’ needs.
Preferred Experience
  • Previous experience in a social service agency focused on substance use treatment, mental health support, or related fields is highly desired.
  • Familiarity with evidence-based practices in social work and counseling methodologies.
  • Experience in crisis management and intervention within the social work or mental health context.
