Remote Coding Tutor information

What is a remote coding tutor?

Remote coding tutors are professionals who provide instruction and support in computer programming to students over the internet. They use video calls, screen sharing, and online collaborative tools to teach coding concepts, help with assignments, and answer questions. Remote coding tutors can work with learners of all ages and skill levels, from beginners to advanced programmers. This flexible arrangement allows students to learn from anywhere and at their own pace.

What skills and qualifications are needed to thrive as a remote coding tutor?

To thrive as a Remote Coding Tutor, you need strong programming knowledge in relevant languages and frameworks, along with experience in teaching or mentoring. Familiarity with online collaboration tools, code-sharing platforms, and learning management systems (LMS) is typically required. Excellent communication, patience, and adaptability are essential soft skills for effectively engaging and supporting students remotely. These skills ensure that tutors can deliver clear instruction, foster student confidence, and facilitate successful learning outcomes in a virtual environment.

How do remote coding tutors typically structure their sessions to engage students and track progress?

Remote Coding Tutors often begin sessions by reviewing previous material and addressing any questions before introducing new concepts. Interactive coding exercises, real-time debugging, and project-based learning are commonly used to keep students engaged. Progress is tracked through regular assessments, coding challenges, and feedback sessions, allowing tutors to personalize instruction and celebrate milestones. Effective communication and adapting to each student's learning pace are key components of a successful remote tutoring experience.

Lead Agentic AI Engineer - Remote US

Job description

Small nonprofits change the world every day - feeding neighbors, rescuing animals, tutoring kids, protecting rivers. But most of them are fundraising with spreadsheets, gut instinct, and a development director who wears six other hats.

SimioAccelerate is the product that changes that.

Moore is the largest nonprofit marketing, data, and fundraising company in North America - 5,000 people, billions of data points, decades of expertise. SimioAccelerate is our agentic AI fundraising platform for small and mid-size nonprofits. Our AI agents identify the right donors, craft personalized engagement strategies, and execute multi-step fundraising workflows autonomously - so fundraisers can focus on relationships instead of busywork.

We're looking for a Lead Agentic AI Engineer to own the technical core of this platform. This isn't "add AI to an existing product." You're building the agent infrastructure from the ground up - systems that reason about donor data, plan outreach sequences, integrate with fundraising platforms, and improve themselves through feedback loops.

Your agents will manage real donor relationships at scale, which means they need to be reliable, explainable, and smart enough to know when to hand off to a human. You'll write code every day, but you'll also set the technical direction for the team, make architecture calls that shape the product, and work directly with fundraising organizations to understand what they actually need.

Check outwww.WeAreMoore.com for more information.

This is a full-time, salaried position open to candidates in the US who are eligible to work without current or future sponsorship.

This position is remote within the US.

The salary range for this role is $165,000-175000, depending on skills and expertise.

Your Impact:

  • Design and build multi-agent systems that automate fundraising workflows - donor research, outreach personalization, and campaign optimization.
  • Architect the platform's agent orchestration layer: how agents plan, delegate, coordinate, hold state, and recover from failures.
  • Create evaluation and observability systems so we can measure agent performance, catch failures before donors see them, and continuously improve.
  • Drive the technical roadmap - evaluate new models, frameworks, and approaches as this space evolves.
  • Mentor engineers, run design reviews, and establish the patterns and standards the team builds on.

Your Profile:

  • 6+ years building production SaaS software, with 2+ years in AI/ML or agentic systems.
  • You've shipped agents that real users depend on - not just proofs of concept.
  • Deep Python chops. Comfortable across the modern AI stack: LLM APIs, retrieval systems, vector databases, embeddings, orchestration.
  • You think about agents as systems, not prompts - state management, tool use, failure modes, evaluation, and guardrails are how you think about reliability.
  • Experience integrating AI with enterprise systems (APIs, databases, CRMs) - you know the messy reality of making agents work inside existing tech stacks.
  • You've led technical initiatives and made other engineers better through mentorship, code review, and setting standards.

Bonus points:

  • Background in fundraising, nonprofit tech, or donor engagement platforms.
  • Experience building evaluation frameworks for non-deterministic systems.
  • Contributions to open-source AI projects.
  • Experience working on or around marketing technology platforms (e.g., CRM, marketing automation, SMS, or email platforms).

Why This Role Is Different:

  • You're not starting from scratch. Moore has 5,000 people, hundreds of nonprofit clients, and decades of fundraising data. SimioCloud's cooperative database has hundreds of millions of donor profiles.
  • You'll see your impact. When your agents help a food bank raise 20% more, that translates directly into families fed. The feedback loop between product and mission is immediate and real.

Experience:

  • 6+ years in software engineering, with meaningful time building AI/ML or agentic systems
  • Location: Remote (US). Occasional travel for team offsites and customer visits.

How We'll Support You:

  • Jointhe largest marketing and fundraising company in North America serving the nonprofit industry where we prioritize innovation and professional growth.
  • Collaborate with industry subject matter experts with over 5,000 employees across the enterprise.
  • To help you stay energized, engaged and inspired, we offer a wide range of benefits including comprehensive healthcare, paid holidays and generous paid time off so you can have the time and space to recharge and pursue your other passions and be with the people you care about.
  • Moore is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, national origin, genetics, disability, age, or veteran status.
