Director of Business Development

The focus for this position will be on prospecting, qualifying, developing, and influencing key decision makers utilizing introductory calls, emails, virtual or direct meetings, and strategic social networking to make introductions, develop relationships, and work to secure new customers through contractual agreements. The most critical component of success in this role is new sales production revenue growth throughout the US.

Responsibilities

  • This position will be a key member of the commercial team executing the company's sales strategies and plan.
  • This role has primary focus on securing new CNC production opportunities with new customers.
  • Top performance requires a results-oriented, self-directed, competitive sales professional with a persistent, active, targeted approach to selling, and a strong foundation of sales focused customer engagement activity to prospect, qualify, develop, and close new business.
  • Must possess the ability to work under pressure, demonstrate active listening and strong Interpersonal, organizational, and time / project management skills, independently manage many moving parts simultaneously, and complete work accurately and within mutually established time frames.
  • Initiate and deliver winning solutions and process orders with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Assist collecting and reporting competitor information, collection assistance, executing prospecting campaigns and initiatives, and preparing / presenting in customer meetings
  • Assess operational efficiencies, provide recommendations, and execute to plan

Qualifications

  • 5+ years’ experience in CNC/Machining sales industry experience
  • Detail oriented, strong analytical skills, ability to learn quickly and take initiative, self-motivating, skilled understanding, applying and using technology, work independently, and have good problem-solving skills.
  • Must be able to see the big picture while managing multiple opportunities/projects simultaneously.
  • Commitment to top level internal and external customer service and support.
  • Remote with travel required as needed.
