Job description

Your future role at a glance

Location: Remote

Facility: Remote

Department: Revenue Cycle Management

Schedule: Full-time | Day Shift

Salary Range: $28.72 - $40.03

How you'll make an impact in this role
  • Conduct regular billing audits, coordinate Medicare and regulatory reviews, and provide data-driven recommendations to management based on the results.

  •  Maintain up-to-date knowledge of billing regulations, research compliance questions, and assist Medicare billers in resolving claims that fail Correct Coding Initiative (CCI) edits.

  • Track key compliance metrics, analyze data to identify trends, and develop targeted corrective action plans to prevent the recurrence of billing errors.

  • Design and refine analytical reporting to provide the clinical and financial teams with actionable insights for operational process improvements.

What minimum qualifications you'll need

Licensure/Certification/Registration:

  • Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) credentialed from the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) preferred.

Education:

  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate'sdegree/Bachelor's degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
What additional requirements you'll need
  • 40 hours a week | M-F | Between 6 AM - 8:30 PM Central Time Zone | No weekends or major holidays
  • -Experience with professional medical coding denials, with specific expertise in CPT codes, modifiers, HCPCS, and ICD-10.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets and Epic EHR experience, particularly in report writing
