Job description

Job Title: Bookkeeper

Job Type: Remote - United States Only, Full-time

Compensation: $18 - $25 per hour based on experience

Industry: Manufacturing


Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to maintain accurate financial records and support daily accounting operations. The ideal candidate will have experience using QuickBooks Online and a strong understanding of bookkeeping principles.  This role requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy.


Key Responsibilities

  • Record and categorize financial transactions in QuickBooks Online.
  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
  • Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and other financial records.
  • Prepare and distribute invoices to customers.
  • Process vendor payments and maintain vendor records.
  • Support sales tax processes and related reporting.
  • Generate monthly financial statements and management reports.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
  • Maintain accurate and organized financial documentation.
  • Communicate with internal stakeholders regarding accounting and payment issues.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.

 

Required Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
  • Minimum 5 years of bookkeeping experience.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in QuickBooks Online with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience.
  • Strong understanding of sales tax.
  • Working knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping principles.
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Professionalism and ability to manage confidential information.

 

Nice to Have

  • Experience in retail or manufacturing industry.
  • Experience with ERP systems.
