Remote Beauty Editor information

What does a Remote Beauty Editor do?

A Remote Beauty Editor is responsible for creating, editing, and curating beauty-related content such as articles, reviews, and trend reports for magazines, websites, or digital platforms—all while working from a remote location. They research the latest beauty trends, test products, interview experts, and ensure content aligns with the publication's voice and standards. Additionally, they often collaborate with writers, photographers, and social media teams to produce engaging and accurate beauty content.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Remote Beauty Editor, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Remote Beauty Editor, you need strong writing and editing skills, a deep understanding of beauty trends, and ideally a background in journalism or communications. Familiarity with content management systems (CMS), SEO tools, and image editing software is typically required. Creativity, time management, and the ability to collaborate remotely are standout soft skills for this role. These competencies are crucial for producing engaging, high-quality content that resonates with audiences and meets publication standards in a digital environment.

The Remote Beauty Editor focuses on creating and editing beauty-related content, often requiring industry-specific knowledge and credentials. In contrast, a Remote Content Writer has a broader scope, producing content across various topics without necessarily specializing in beauty. Both roles involve remote work and require strong writing skills, but their industry focus and expertise differ.

What are some common challenges faced by remote Beauty Editors, and how can they be overcome?

Remote Beauty Editors often encounter challenges such as staying up-to-date with the latest trends and product launches without in-person access to samples or events. To overcome this, they rely heavily on virtual press events, digital networking, and maintaining strong relationships with PR contacts to receive timely information. Effective communication with a dispersed editorial team is also key, so proficiency with collaboration tools and clear, proactive communication helps ensure deadlines are met and content stays cohesive. Setting up a structured work schedule and dedicated workspace at home can further help maintain productivity and work-life balance.

Job description

Job Title: Director of Growth Creative Strategy
Job Type: Full-Time (Remote)
ARMRA Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9am - 6pm EST

About ARMRA: ARMRA was born from a near-fatal health crisis that forced its Founder & CEO, Dr. Sarah Rahal, to uncover what modern life has stolen. As a pediatric neurologist, she turned to exhaustive research and ancient wisdom to find a solution-not just for herself, but for the growing health crisis affecting us all. Your body isn't broken-it's brilliantly designed for strength, resilience, and vitality. But the modern world scrambles the signal, disconnecting you from the intelligence encoded within. ARMRA Colostrum is nature's original blueprint with 400+ bioactive nutrients that restore what modern life strips away. It works at the cellular level to remind your body of its original code and reawaken its innate intelligence-so you can reclaim your birthright to thrive.

Who We Are

  • Builders, not passengers - We take ownership, thrive on momentum, and embrace challenges.
  • Resilient and resourceful - We find a way forward, even when the answer isn't obvious.
  • Mission-driven - We believe in what we're building and are passionate about making an impact.
  • Direct and constructive - Feedback is a gift, and we embrace it in order to grow.

Who We Are Not

  • Performative - We don't play games, manipulate optics, or curate an image for external approval.
  • Entitled - We don't expect rewards without contribution.
  • Clock punchers - We don't attract those looking for just a "job"; we seek individuals who want to build careers, take ownership, and find joy in their work every day.

The Role: We're seeking a Director of Growth Creative Strategy to lead and evolve the creative growth engine at ARMRA. This highly strategic and creative leader will architect and scale performance marketing content operations-developing world-class workflows, creative testing frameworks, and channel-specific playbooks that drive customer acquisition and revenue growth.
This role will partner closely with Growth, Brand, Product, and Retention teams to transform complex health and wellness concepts into compelling, high-converting creative across Meta, TikTok, YouTube, Google, and emerging channels. The ideal candidate is equal parts creative strategist, operator, and performance marketer, with a proven track record of building scalable creative systems that fuel growth.
Responsibilities:
Creative Growth Strategy

  • Own and continuously evolve ARMRA's performance creative strategy across acquisition channels.
  • Build and optimize creative testing frameworks, hook-farm systems, and content production workflows.
  • Develop scalable playbooks for concepting, UGC sourcing, scripting, editing, post-production, and creative QA.
  • Drive creative innovation while maintaining alignment with ARMRA's brand standards and scientific credibility.

Channel-Specific Performance Creative

  • Develop channel-specific creative roadmaps across Meta, TikTok, YouTube, Google/P-Max, Display, Audio, and emerging platforms.
  • Partner closely with Growth Marketing to improve creative performance, scale spend efficiently, and achieve CAC goals.
  • Establish creative refresh strategies that reduce fatigue and maintain performance at scale.

Testing, Analytics & Optimization

  • Define creative KPIs and success metrics, including thumb-stop rate, CTR, CVR, CAC, MER, and incremental ROAS.
  • Analyze creative performance and translate insights into actionable testing plans and creative briefs.
  • Lead creative experimentation initiatives, including incrementality testing, audience testing, and messaging validation.
  • Leverage data to identify emerging opportunities and continuously improve performance.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Partner with Brand, Product, Retention, Community, and Growth teams to align creative strategies with business priorities.
  • Translate complex science-backed product benefits into compelling, consumer-friendly narratives that drive conversion.
  • Support product launches, promotions, seasonal campaigns, and new customer acquisition initiatives.

Team & Partner Management

  • Lead and mentor creative talent, including designers, editors, creators, and external partners.
  • Manage relationships with freelance creators, UGC talent, production partners, and agencies.
  • Establish clear KPIs, workflows, and quality standards across all creative contributors.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, creativity, experimentation, and continuous improvement.

Process & Technology

  • Own creative asset organization, reporting systems, and performance dashboards.
  • Evaluate and implement new creative technologies, AI tools, and automation opportunities to improve speed and efficiency.
  • Continuously refine creative operations to increase output quality, testing velocity, and team effectiveness.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • 7-10+ years driving performance creative for a growth-stage DTC brand (ideally CPG, wellness, or beauty).
  • Track record of scaling Meta/TikTok spend while maintaining or lowering CAC.
  • Thrive on rapid iteration-you've turned "concept live ad" in under 72 hours more times than you can count.
  • Speak both creative and quant-comfortable dissecting ROAS tables, lift-study error bars, and pixel diagnostics.
  • Proven people leader-experience hiring, coaching, and developing small in-house creative teams (designers, editors, producers) while also managing freelance and agency partners.
  • Deep bench of UGC creators, editors, and motion designers you can tap day-one.
  • Fluent in the tools: Ads Manager, TikTok Ads, GA4, Northbeam/Rockerbox, Premiere/Final Cut, Figma/Canva, Airtable, and automation platforms (Zapier, Make).
  • Operate like an owner-proactive, deadline-obsessed, and comfortable in a fast-moving, ambiguity-heavy environment.

We are proud to be an equal opportunity employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration without regard to race, color, ancestry, sex, religion, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, marital status, national origin, genetics, disability, age, veteran status or other characteristics.
