Key Responsibilities

• Engage with clients in a therapeutic relationship to assess their needs and establish achievable treatment goals, adapting strategies as necessary for individual progress.
• Deliver prevention-oriented therapy tailored to the unique challenges faced by each client, utilizing evidence-based methodologies.
• Regularly implement, evaluate, and modify treatment plans in collaboration with clients and relevant treatment providers.
• Coordinate and communicate with other healthcare professionals and community agencies to ensure comprehensive support for clients.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client sessions, ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines.
• Participate in professional development and staff meetings, bringing insights and innovations to the team.
• Contribute positively to the workplace culture, fostering an environment of respect, understanding, and support for all team members.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our client base reflects a broad demographic spectrum, including individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, trauma, and various other mental health concerns. We serve a diverse community in Norfolk, Virginia, and prioritize culturally responsive and inclusive therapy practices that respect and affirm the identities of all individuals.

Qualifications

• Active licensure as an LPC, LMFT, or LCSW in the state of Virginia is required.
• A Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, or a related field is essential; advanced degrees are preferred.
• Proven experience of at least 2 years in mental health counseling or similarly relevant fields.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team while exhibiting leadership qualities.

Preferred Experience

• Familiarity with community mental health resources is highly desirable to enhance the support available for clients.
• Previous experience working in a telehealth or remote counseling environment is a plus.
• Knowledge of diverse therapeutic techniques and approaches which accommodate varied client needs and preferences.

Compensation and Benefits

CloudWave Therapy Center offers a competitive salary range of $70,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to a competitive salary, we provide:
