This remote position allows you to design your work schedule while benefiting from the support of an advanced technological infrastructure. At New U, you will have access to a comprehensive online therapy platform designed as your private practice space, enabling you to conduct live video sessions or asynchronous messaging at your convenience. Our supportive administrative team will handle marketing and billing, facilitating a smooth and efficient workflow so you can focus on what truly matters: your clients.

• Conduct individual counseling sessions via video conferencing, helping clients enhance their mental health through empathetic and solution-focused approaches.
• Motivate clients to express their thoughts and feelings, guiding them toward deeper self-awareness and improved interpersonal relationships.
• Advocate for clients by assisting them in defining their personal goals and exploring pathways to achieve them.
• Assess clients' mental health conditions accurately, and collaborate to develop and implement tailored treatment plans that leverage your clinical expertise.

You will work with a select group of clients who have been carefully screened to ensure they are stable adults with low acuity needs. Our focus is on providing care to those with mild to moderate mental health concerns, which allows you to employ therapeutic techniques effectively without the complications often encountered in a high-acuity environment. Plus, we prioritize matching you with clients who align with your areas of expertise and demographic preferences, enhancing both your job satisfaction and client outcomes.

• A Master's degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology is required.
• Must hold a valid and active state license as a fully licensed clinician (LCPC, LMFT, or LCSW) in good standing, with no disciplinary actions or provisional licenses.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and an empathetic nature are essential for building trusting relationships with clients.

While previous experience in telehealth or remote counseling is advantageous, it is not mandatory. We value passion and commitment to mental health above all. Experience working with diverse populations and specific therapeutic modalities is also appreciated.
