RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Lead the development, implementation and refinement of Enterprise Inventory and Production Planning (Supply) process and controls. This role will have a specific focus on o9 and Oracle Cloud capabilities and utilization to support this process.
  • Individual responsibilities include:
    • Implementation, maintenance, and enhancement of the Supply planning process within the Integrated Business Planning cycle.
    • Collaborate cross-functionally with COE peers to develop and implement end-to-end planning processes and improve existing business practices
    • Management of planning data and processes through business changes including but not limited to: network re-alignments, acquisitions, divestitures, product launches and discontinuations.
    • Support and empower the Supply planning pillar end users at all levels within o9 and Oracle cloud through weekly, monthly and ad-hoc system and modeling requests 
    • Management and communication of Supply planner responsibilities, expectations, and capabilities across all levels of the organization
    • Drive continuous improvement through the implementation of best practices from around the industry and knowledge gained through seminar attendance and additional professional development opportunities (certifications, course work, etc)

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Accountable to o9 and Oracle Cloud Inventory and Production plan related data integrity and process controls.
  • Accountable to near-term and long-term Supply planning best practices and cross-functional outputs
  • Accountable to continuous improvement of the Supply planning team tools and processes
  • Participates in Supply Chain projects to deliver expected outcomes.

  • Develop Goals and Objectives that support the Supply Planning Team and business needs. Provide ongoing development opportunities for the team and ensure best-in-class process and controls.
  • Partner with Corporate Manager of Supply Planning Strategy to establish conditions that enable team members to succeed, continue to learn and grow in their careers, and enjoy their work.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required

  • 3+ years' experience in supply planning, production scheduling or corporate operations
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Manufacturing/Management, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science/Informatics or a related field
  • Hands on experience with o9 (or another advanced planning tool) and Oracle Cloud (or equivalent ERP)
  • Experience with AGILE methodology and enterprise scale application testing and launch processes (JIRA)
  • Strong project management and communication skills across all levels of the organization (entry to c-suite)
  • Efficient time management and ability to re-prioritize projects and based on business needs and accurately communicate deadlines and expectations with leadership
  • Willingness to travel 10% of the time with more frequent travel during onboarding
  • Must be a Citizen or National of the United States, a lawful, permanent resident, or have authorization to work in the United States.

Preferred

  • 5+ years' experience in supply planning, production scheduling or corporate operations
  • 2+ years' experience in people management
  • APICS Certification
  • Proficiency in JIRA or other IT Ticketing systems
  • Proficiency in Power Query, Python, Alteryx, R or other large data set capable, analysis driven, programming languages
  • Exposure and/or proficiency with IBM Mainframe, WMS (IBM-AS400), Office Suite, Oracle Data Warehousing, Oracle Cloud, Google Cloud
  • Hands on experience with o9 and Oracle Cloud Implementation

LOCATION: Austin, MN, Chicago, IL, or Willmar, MN. For candidates not located in one of these locations, we will also consider a remote work arrangement with the ability to travel on an as needed basis. 

TRAVEL: 10%

Pay Range & Benefits:

At Hormel Foods, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range.  The base hiring pay range for this role is between $89,000 - $124,700 per year, and your actual base pay within that range will ,depend upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skill set, level of experience, and geographic market location.
