Description

Our client is seeking a senior AS400 / iSeries RPG Tech Lead to support a legacy item platform while the organization transitions to a new PIM system. This individual will act as the onshore lead for an offshore team and play a critical role in bridging legacy systems with modern architecture.

Responsibilities include:

- Supporting and enhancing a legacy AS400-based item management system with a .NET front end

- Acting as the primary onshore contact for technical and functional questions

- Performing hands-on coding, debugging, and analysis within RPG and mainframe systems

- Partnering with product, engineering, and integration teams during PIM implementation

- Supporting data migration, attribute mapping, and system integration efforts

- Helping transition legacy features to read-only while enabling new functionality in the PIM

- Collaborating with offshore developers and guiding implementation work

- Supporting integration patterns (APIs, events, SFTP) between systems
