Job description

Clin Apps Spec - PET/CT - req1640

OVERVIEW

This position is for a PET CT / CT Clinical Applications Specialist. After the sales and installation is complete, the Clinical Applications Specialist takes charge of the process, and works with the doctors, nurses, and technologists at each facility to maximize their proficiency and satisfaction with the CMSU products they have purchased. This position plays a critical role in gaining, maintaining, and increasing customer satisfaction with our products and services.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • This is a dual-modality position that requires the Clinical Applications Specialist to provide on-site applications training on PET CT and diagnostic CT systems across the United States.

  • Develop the training plan and manage the training process and presentation for the doctors, nurses, and technologists at each location to assure their best utilization of CMSU products and services.

  • Consult with physicians and clinicians regarding best clinical practices (e.g., workflow, image acquisition, protocols, image quality, etc.) to maximize each customers satisfaction with CMSU products and services.

  • Determine whether client needs additional training or development and preparing additional training as determined by need.

  • Maintain contact as the key clinical contact person for CMSU at each facility for follow-up and additional training needs.

  • Complete site reports documenting the daily training details.

  • Provide Pre/Post Communications for both internal and external customers.

  • Maintain technical and clinical proficiency.

  • Diagnose and resolve problems affecting system performance and image quality.

  • Escalate any unresolved issues pertaining to system performance and image quality.

  • Work with service engineers as needed.

  • Complete Alerts and PCRs when applicable.

  • Provide mid-week update to Applications Management and local Canon Team.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Either CNMT or ARRT (N) with PET CT experience, plus ARRT (CT) or CT eligible.

  • Excellent project management skills.

  • Excellent verbal communication skills.

  • Excellent written communications skills.

  • Excellent presentation/platform skills.

  • Previous teaching experience a plus.

  • Must maintain active motor vehicle/driver's license from the state where the specialist resides.

  • 2 Year / associate's degree Radiologic Technologist in the specific modality.

  • 5 years Clinical experience at a hospital or imaging center

  • Ideally want the candidate to live in the Midwest

  • Weekly Travel required 90%

  • Min $80K to Max $129K DOE
