Job description

Warehouse Specialists, LLC (WSI) is seeking a dynamic and results-driven 3PL Warehouse Sales Manager to aggressively expand our warehousing business throughout our ~14 million sqft U.S. footprint. This role focuses on identifying, pursuing, and closing new business opportunities with clients requiring substantial storage space. The ideal candidate will possess a strong sales acumen, a proven track record of success in business development, and a deep understanding of verticals that would typically require large footprints. Experience and established relationships with customers that require rail access for their warehousing is also desirable. This salary plus commission position will report to the Director of Sales.

DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve aggressive sales goals.
  • Generate leads through networking, cold calling, industry events, and online research.
  • Conduct thorough market analysis to identify potential clients and industry trends.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities and client interactions in CRM system.
  • Forecast sales and report on sales performance.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities.
  • Aggressively close value-adding deals to generate value for yourself and WSI.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • 3+ years of prior experience with 3PL warehouse sales experience.
  • Strong hunter mentality with a passion for closing deals.
  • Build trust with customers by ensuring that all of their needs are being met as committed.
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Be driven by results, yet patient in working through the sales process.
  • Demonstrate an ability to have a high degree of attention to detail.

 PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • 5+ years prior experience with outbound prospecting and closing

PHYSICAL CAPABILITIES AND REQUIREMENTS

  • Work out of a remote home location, with proximity to an airport for travel via airplane.
  • Travel required; estimates may vary based on home location.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time within an office environment.
  • Ability to use hands and fingers for computer keyboarding and answer phone calls.
  • Ability to communicate via the telephone using speaking and hearing skills.
