Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Medical Biller / Collector to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of medical billing workflows, insurance follow-up, denial management, and collections processes. Experience with Allscripts, Veradigm, and Practice Management (PM) systems is a plus.
This position can be hybrid for candidates located near one of our office locations or fully remote for qualified applicants.
Responsibilities
- Submit and follow up on insurance claims
- Review and resolve claim denials and rejections
- Perform collections and accounts receivable follow-up
- Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits
- Post payments and reconcile accounts
- Communicate with insurance carriers regarding unpaid or underpaid claims
- Maintain accurate documentation within billing systems
- Work collaboratively with providers and internal teams to resolve billing issues
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and payer regulations
Qualifications
- Minimum 2+ years of medical billing and collections experience
- Strong knowledge of insurance claims processing and AR follow-up
- Hands-on experience with:
- Allscripts
- Veradigm
- PM (Practice Management) systems
- Experience with commercial, Medicare, and Medicaid payers preferred
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
Preferred Skills
- Experience in multi-specialty or pain management billing is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to manage productivity and meet deadlines
