Job description

About Us

Honey Mama’s is the Portland, Oregon-based maker of delicious, refrigerated truffle bars!

Founded by Christy Goldsby at the Portland Farmers Market in 2013, Honey Mama’s is now available in over 7,000 stores across the country. We have grown to become one of the fastest selling, top-ranked brands in our category. The brand has garnered national press recognition as a cult-favorite in Bon Appetit, Forbes, Refinery29, Healthline, Men’s Health, Food & Wine, and more.

Honey Mama’s is beloved for its one-of-a-kind texture, often compared to brownie batter, chocolate truffles, or fudge — the real treat is discovering each bar is made from only a limited number of nutrient-rich whole food ingredients. Our mission is to further the food-as-medicine movement by giving you a uniquely memorable indulgent experience that contributes simultaneously to health and vitality.

About the Role

The salary for this position is $70,000 annually.

Honey Mama’s is looking for a highly organized, hands-on Warehouse Manager to oversee all warehouse operations and ensure the efficient flow of materials, ingredients, packaging, and finished goods throughout the business.

This role is responsible for managing all components of warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, inventory control, order fulfillment, shipping, and internal material movement. The Warehouse Manager will play a critical role in maintaining inventory accuracy, supporting production, and ensuring products are shipped safely, accurately, and on time.

This position also includes direct people leadership, with responsibility for managing, coaching, and developing warehouse team members while fostering a culture of accountability, safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced environments, enjoys balancing strategic planning with day-to-day execution, and brings strong operational discipline to warehouse management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, inventory movement, order picking, shipping, and fulfillment
  • Manage inventory control processes to ensure high levels of inventory accuracy across raw materials, packaging, and finished goods
  • Develop, implement, and maintain best practices for inventory management, cycle counting, reconciliation, and loss prevention
  • Monitor stock levels and partner cross-functionally with Production, Planning, Procurement, and Finance to ensure appropriate inventory availability
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, root cause issues, and process breakdowns
  • Ensure all inbound and outbound shipments are processed accurately and efficiently
  • Oversee warehouse organization, storage layouts, and material flow to maximize efficiency and space utilization
  • Maintain compliance with FIFO, lot tracking, shelf-life management, and food safety requirements
  • Ensure warehouse documentation, inventory records, and system transactions are completed accurately and on time
  • Lead continuous improvement efforts related to warehouse systems, processes, and productivity
  • Establish and track warehouse KPIs including inventory accuracy, fulfillment accuracy, productivity, and service levels
  • Partner with carriers, freight providers, and external vendors to support shipping and logistics operations
  • Support audits, inventory counts, and reporting needs as required

Leadership & Team Management

  • Supervise, schedule, and support warehouse team members and other direct reports
  • Provide coaching, performance feedback, training, and development opportunities
  • Set clear expectations and hold team members accountable to performance, quality, and safety standards
  • Build and maintain a positive, collaborative team culture rooted in communication and accountability
  • Support hiring, onboarding, and staffing decisions for warehouse personnel
  • Help create cross-functional alignment between warehouse, production, quality, and operations teams

Requirements

  • 2+ years of warehouse, distribution, or supply chain experience, including team leadership experience
  • Strong understanding of inventory management and inventory control best practices
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills with high attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Proficiency and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in warehouse environments for extended periods

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in food, beverage, CPG, manufacturing, or regulated warehouse environments strongly preferred
  • Experience with refrigerated or temperature-sensitive inventory preferred
  • Familiarity with GMP, food safety, and quality standards
  • Experience with cycle counting, inventory audits, and warehouse KPI reporting
  • Continuous improvement mindset with experience improving warehouse processes and systems
