Salary Range: $75,000.00 To $85,000.00 Annually

Overview

This position is responsible for overseeing all purchasing, inventory management, and vendor

relations. This position ensures that Hospitality Operations have the supplies and equipment

needed to operate efficiently while maintaining budget controls and optimal inventory levels.

This position is responsible for overseeing and managing warehouse operations, procedures

and standards, as well as directly manages the warehouse manager and union employees.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, financially responsible, and experienced

in inventory control, procurement, and vendor management within a hospitality, event, or food

Essential Functions

  • Work closely with the Culinary and Hospitality team to determine requirements, negotiate,
  • evaluate, select and manage suppliers to maximize total value
  • Confer with suppliers to obtain product / service information, such as price, availability,
  • Review supplier history to determine that they can produce the goods and services required
  • Standardize items in common use to eliminate unnecessary variations/features and lower
  • costs through bulk purchasing
  • Compare vendors to ensure best price and product quality based on requirements,
  • develops Preferred Suppliers to improve value and efficiency
  • Prepare Purchase Orders in various systems
  • Responsible for Food & Beverage inventory management system, ensuring that data is
  • clean, updated and accurate, adding, deleting or deactivating items as required
  • Fulfill orders efficiently, accurately, and with a sense of urgency
  • Maintain and assist in the improvement of inventory management process including
  • requisition management and food transfers
  • Maintain all equipment lease, rentals, contracts of all F&B vendors
  • Partner with Accounts Payable on vendor issues for payments, receiving, freight etc.
  • Maintain files for open and closed Purchase Orders
  • Manage vendor database and establish seasonal vendor list/contacts to maintain year
  • round product quality
  • Manage Warehouse operations, ensuring all procedures for receiving, delivery,
  • administrative, schedule and otherwise, are reviewed, updated and managed accordingly.
  • Ensure that strong ties are established with key vendors/Preferred Suppliers to continuously
  • improve their overall performance on Key Performance Indicators such as โ€“ stock outs,
  • controlling food costs, maximizing vendor performance, inventory accuracy, reducing
  • inventory waste etc.
  • Maintain and manage all Capital Expense projects for the Hospitality department
  • Maintain and manage one-off hospitality emergency purchases outside of normal vendor
  • channels to ensure this is kept to a minimum
  • Pay close attention to product and order accuracy; checking on open or delayed orders,
  • processing returns as necessary
  • Effectively communicate any necessary changes to an order working closely with the
  • Culinary / Experience team and other departmental managers
  • Serve as an ambassador for inventory and product needs for all vendors and internal
  • customers. This includes being thoroughly dialed into day-to-day operations and
  • relationship with culinary team.
  • Maintain appropriate health and safety standards according to County codes, guidelines,
  • and SAP standards
  • Support other supply requirements as indicated by SAP management
  • Participate in knowledge and best practice sharing with colleagues across the company

Experience

  • 3 - 5 years of purchasing and inventory management experience.
  • Hospitality, hotel, catering, restaurant, entertainment venue, or event venue experience
  • preferred.
  • Experience managing multiple vendor relationships.
  • Experience with inventory management software and purchasing systems.

Required Skills

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

  • Experience with POS and inventory management software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to work in warehouse, kitchen, and event environments.
  • Occasional evening, weekend, and holiday work based on event schedules.
