Job description

This position can be based in Columbus, OH/Cincinnati, OH or Lexington, KY

Position Summary

The ERP Engineer works with members of the Digital Technology and Business Transformation Teams, the broader business, and external partners to develop, support, train, and maintain best-in-class solutions enabled by the ERP Platforms. Ensure technical, security, licensing, and budgeting frameworks are adhered to and compliant. Stay on the cutting edge of technical innovations enabled by the platforms and work to implement those innovations into the business where applicable.

Essential Functions

  • Deploy, develop, maintain, and troubleshoot core business applications, including Software as a Service (SaaS) solutions, associated hardware, endpoints, and databases.
  • Deep knowledge of the VIP Beverage system, Microsoft Power Platform, and Dynamics 365. Strong understanding of when to use native features and when it is appropriate to use custom development. Ability to successfully communicate this information to both internal and client teams.
  • Facilitates discussions with business and technical stakeholders to extract critical business requirements and present a technical vision and solutions in the form of process design, software products, customizations, and integrations to meet those needs.
  • Participates with the Business Transformation team to develop a solution proposal that includes scope, assumptions, implementation plan, and technology solution options to meet project goals and longer-term needs.
  • Advises data team on the extraction of information of data from ERP systems.
  • Assists support and infrastructure team with device selection, standards, and setup.
  • Communicates and trains on complex topics regarding solutions and related projects to audiences both with and without deep technical skills. Comfortable speaking in front of medium to large groups to articulate ideas and instruction.
  • Participates in ERP implementations through all project phases, including discovery, definition, build, test, and deployment.
  • Develop and support system integration between ERP Platforms.
  • Analyzes adherence to user permissions and company IT policy; notifies appropriate management as directed.
  • Manage the set-up, upgrades, and configuration of ERP systems.
  • Analyze existing work processes and recommend solutions and provide documentation of processes and running training sessions during implementation phases or as needed.
  • Level 3 support for ERP systems, manage escalated support cases with the vendor, be available to end users with answers to how-to questions and advice on system usage.
  • Recommend system enhancements to vendors to improve system capabilities, stability, and ease of use and maintain vendor status updates and periodic meeting cadences.
  • Maintains knowledge of third-party software vendors to leverage complementary offerings and effectively compare solutions
  • Works with core software systems related to the following functional areas, Supply Chain, Maintenance and Repair, Sales Delivery, Route Accounting, Accounts Receivable, and Graphics Production.
  • Ensures that company policies, standards, and procedures are met, followed, and maintained by established company policy (e.g. OSHA and safety compliance, Federal/State/Local laws). 
  • Works assigned schedule exhibits regular and predictable attendance and works outside of normal schedule as needed to meet workload demands. Performs other related duties as required.
  • Implement and support E-Commerce tools and relationships to enable EDI-based transactions with retail partners.

Education Level

Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or related field or equivalent work experience

 

Experience

  • 3+ years of technical experience working in a Direct Store Delivery environment
  • 1+ years of technical experience working in a Warehouse environment
  • 1+ years of experience working with EDI technologies
  • 1+ years of professional experience in Microsoft Dynamics and CDS database architecture and development
  • 1+ year of experience developing PowerApps, LogicApps, Power Automate Workflows, or Power BI
  • 1+ year of experience working with Azure Data components; Azure SQL, Azure Logic Apps, Azure Datawarehouse, Azure Data Lake, and knowledge of SQL
  • 1+ year of experience working with Azure Active Directory
  • Proven ability to create innovative solutions to solve complex business requirements and streamline/automate business processes
  • Experience working in an Agile environment.
  • Experience with VIP Beverage System, Solera Roadnet, or Dynamics 365 is a plus.
  • Experience working with Lean Six Sigma business process methodologies and root problem identification.
  • Experience working in a Warehousing, Logistics, Manufacturing, or Consumer Goods industry is a plus.
  • Technical writing and training skills is a plus.

 

Computer Skills

  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite, including Visio, Planner, Project, and Teams.
  • Proficient in using database management tools such as SQL Server Management Studio
  • Proficient in Microsoft Power Platform

 

Certificates & Licenses

  • Valid Driver's License or demonstrable ability to gain access to worksites.
  • Certifications for Dynamics 365 Sales and Field Service is a plus but not required

Additional Requirements

Knowledge of Microsoft-based software applications, desktop, and server operating systems (Windows 11, Windows Server 2012, 2016, 2022). Skills in: project management, problem-solving, troubleshooting, organizing workflow and processes, internal customer service, and desk-side support. Ability to: work quickly and efficiently; multi-task; communicate effectively with internal customers and vendors; develop good working relationships.
