A Post Production Editor is a professional responsible for assembling, editing, and refining video and audio footage after filming is complete. They use specialized software to cut, arrange, and enhance content, ensuring the final product meets creative and technical standards. Their work often includes color correction, sound editing, adding effects, and collaborating with directors or producers to achieve the desired vision. Post Production Editors play a crucial role in film, television, advertising, and online media industries.

To thrive as a Post Production Editor, you need expertise in video editing, color correction, and a solid understanding of storytelling, usually supported by experience or a degree in film, media, or a related field. About Nen Creative

Nen Creative partners with tech startups to launch bold ideas into the world, creating the brands, products, and stories that fuel their growth.

Weโ€™re growing fast and looking for great people to join us.

About the Opportunity

Weโ€™re looking for a detail-oriented Production Supervisor to own and elevate our post-production process across all projects.

This role sits at the center of our editing and motion pipeline. Youโ€™ll work closely with editors, motion designers, composers, and creative leads to ensure every piece of work meets a high bar for quality, clarity, and craft.

Youโ€™ll be responsible for managing timelines, implementing feedback, and acting as the final layer of QA across all deliverables. This includes stepping in on complex edits, guiding color across projects, and ensuring consistency in finishing.

Youโ€™ll also help manage external post-production partners and maintain our file systems and project infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Own post-production timelines across multiple projects, ensuring deadlines are met without compromising quality

  • Act as the final layer of QA across all edits, motion, sound, and finishing before delivery

  • Lead and implement color across projects, ensuring a consistent and intentional look and feel

  • Review cuts and provide clear, actionable feedback to editors and motion designers

  • Step in to handle complex feedback or tricky edits when needed

  • Manage external post-production collaborators, including editors, motion designers, composers, and sound designers

  • Ensure smooth handoff between internal and external teams, maintaining clarity and momentum

  • Oversee file organization, versioning, and delivery across cloud storage systems

  • Maintain and improve our project repository, storage, and archival systems

  • Coordinate final delivery of assets, ensuring all formats, specs, and versions are correct

What Weโ€™re Looking For

  • Based in the Bay Area (preferred)

  • 3+ years of experience in post-production, editing, or finishing roles

  • Strong editorial judgment and a sharp eye for quality, pacing, and storytelling

  • Experience giving clear, actionable feedback to editors and post teams

  • Exceptional excellence in color workflows and a strong understanding of color grading. Please refer to the body of work on our website portfolio for the standard bar (we'd like to raise it further with your help!).

  • Experience managing multiple projects and timelines simultaneously

  • Familiarity with motion graphics and sound workflows (you donโ€™t need to execute everything, but you should be able to direct it)

  • Strong organizational skills and experience managing files, assets, and cloud-based workflows

  • Calm, detail-oriented, and dependable under pressure

  • A clear communicator who can work across creative and production teams

  • A strong sense of ownership and follow-through

Why Join Nen

  • Be part of a small, fast-growing creative studio trusted by world-class startups and investors

  • Work directly with partners and creative leadership on high-impact, visible projects

  • Help define and scale the post-production quality bar at Nen

  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage, 401(k), PTO, and company holidays

  • Salary range: $80,000 to $100,000, depending on experience, skills, and qualifications.
