Our Maintenance Ops Supervisor plays an integral role in ensuring machines and overall plant is running at its peak performance and machines are running at optimum capacity; Maintenance Ops Supervisors manage the day to day operations of their department and help the overall operations team obtain the plant goals of Safety, Quality, and Deliverable Goods produced in an efficient environment through guiding the Maintenance Mechanics and Operations Lines.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Maintain a clean work environment to comply with expected standards.
- Ability to Motivate, lead, teach and train Maintenance and Operations staff.
- Observes operation to detect malfunctions of machine, troubleshoot and performs adjustments of equipment as required and adjusts or makes repairs.
- Oversee daily maintenance operations and staff.
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical systems.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols.
- Coordinate maintenance activities with other departments.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment and facilities.
- Evaluate and recommend improvements to maintenance processes.
- Ensure all maintenance work is completed in a timely manner.
- Monitor and report on maintenance performance metrics.
- Follows all company safety rules, policies, procedures and GMPs.
- Ensures compliance to all business related policies and procedures.
- Ensures that the machines are operating within PetIQ's quality, safety and production standards.
- Assists in setting up machine at job change overs and maintains a clean work environment to comply with expected standards.
- Strong Understanding of mechanical and electrical systems to include PLC, Ladder Logic, and implementation of Automation.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 5+ years as a Maintenance Supervisor in a high-paced manufacturing facility.
- Electrical, PLC and Ladder Logic working Knowledge
- Preferred knowledge of Thermoform Molding machines
- Must possess math and reading comprehension skills and be able to read, speak and comprehend instructions in English or language of country as applicable including procedure documents, as well as proofread alpha and numeric data.
- Requires ability to follow standard work and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, Word, Power Point
- Must meet all locally defined training requirements.
- Must be able to communicate effectively as a member of a work team
Education Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
- Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds (4 kilograms) or equivalency continuously and up to 50 pounds (22 kilograms) or equivalency frequently.
- Must be able to ascend and descend stepladders.
- Must be able to push or pull up to 400 pounds (181 kilograms) or equivalency utilizing a manual cart.
- Must be able to stoop, squat, and bend. Must be able to frequently reach laterally, and overhead occasionally.
- Must be able to grasp objects. Must possess sufficient visual and audio acuity to work safely and accurately in an industrial environment.
- Must be able to work a minimum of 40 hours per week through extended shifts and weekends.
