About Tergar International:
Tergar Meditation Community supports individuals, practice groups, and meditation communities worldwide in learning to live with awareness, compassion, and wisdom. Grounded in the Tibetan Buddhist lineage of our guiding teacher, Yongey Mingyur Rinpoche, our online and in-person programs are accessible to people of all cultures and faiths and support a lifelong path toward the application of these principles in everyday life.
Tergar International is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that develops and delivers Tergar programs in partnership with our sister organization, Tergar Asia. Tergar International is based in the United States of America in the Twin Cities of Minneapolis / St. Paul, Minnesota, with a staff of nearly 70 employees and core contractors who work in various locations around the world.
Job Summary:
Tergar International is looking for a Flutter Developer to join our team and help build, maintain, and improve our mobile application for iOS and Android. The ideal candidate has strong experience developing production-ready Flutter applications, understands clean architecture, and is comfortable working with modern development practices such as test-driven development, automated testing, and CI/CD release workflows. Experience with Strapi or similar headless CMS platforms is a plus but not required.
We are looking for someone proactive, reliable, and detail-oriented who can take ownership of features from implementation to testing and release.
The right candidate should care about code quality, user experience, and building stable mobile applications that can scale over time. They should be comfortable working across the full mobile development lifecycle, from feature implementation and testing to release pipelines and production support.
Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain mobile applications using Flutter and Dart.
  • Build reusable, scalable, and maintainable components.
  • Collaborate with product, design, and backend teams to deliver high-quality features.
  • Write clean, well-structured, and testable code.
  • Implement and maintain unit, widget, and integration tests.
  • Participate in code reviews and technical discussions.
  • Debug, optimize, and improve app performance.
  • Work with APIs and backend services to integrate app functionality.
  • Implement and maintain Firebase services, including Auth, Realtime Database, Crashlytics, and Analytics.
  • Integrate POS and payment SDKs when needed.
  • Implement push notifications, deep linking, and mobile app tracking flows.
  • Support adaptive layouts and Flutter Web when required.
  • Help improve development workflows, CI/CD processes, and release quality.
  • Maintain and improve automated pipelines for production and test releases on iOS and Android, including TestFlight, internal testing, and app store deployment workflows.

Requirements
  • Proven experience building mobile applications with Flutter.
  • Strong knowledge of Flutter and Dart, including Flutter SDK, Dart, null safety, custom widgets, animations, platform channels, adaptive layouts, and Flutter Web.
  • Experience publishing or maintaining apps for iOS and Android.
  • Good understanding of test-driven development and automated testing.
  • Experience working with REST APIs or GraphQL.
  • Experience with Firebase, including Auth, Realtime Database, Crashlytics, and Analytics.
  • Experience with push notifications and deep linking.
  • Experience integrating third-party SDKs, ideally including POS or payment SDKs.
  • Experience working with CI/CD pipelines for iOS and Android production and test releases.
  • Ability to write clean, maintainable, and scalable code.
  • Familiarity with Git and collaborative development workflows.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Nice to Have
  • Experience with Strapi or other headless CMS platforms.
  • Experience with Flutter flavors and multi-environment app setup.

Location & Schedule:
  • Remote position: Candidates must be based in North or South American time zones; Core hours are aligned with US Central/Eastern time zones
  • Work Hours: Standard work hours are Monday through Friday, with flexibility required for occasional, pre-scheduled weekend shifts to support live online course runs or global program launches.
