Job description

Mosquito Joe is seeking a motivated and dependable Mosquito & Pest Control Technician in Rochester, to join our team for the active mosquito season (typically April through October). No pest control experience is required — we provide full training and certification support. High-performing team members may have the opportunity to transition into a Holiday Lighting position from November through March for extended or near year-round employment.
This is a physically active, outdoor position ideal for individuals who enjoy working independently, staying active, and taking ownership of their work. Weekly hours may vary depending on customer demand and technician availability.
Compensation
  • $21.00 – $25.00 per hour base pay
  • $24.00 – $30.00 per hour when including bonus potential

What We Do
Mosquito Joe provides professional outdoor pest control services to residential and commercial customers. We control and repel mosquitoes, ticks, and other outdoor pests so families can enjoy their yards comfortably.
Technicians travel to customer properties in company vehicles and apply barrier spray treatments using professional backpack equipment. You may also provide special event treatments and educate customers on pest prevention.
Responsibilities
  • Inspect and treat properties for mosquitoes, ticks, and other outdoor pests
  • Safely operate backpack spray equipment (approximately 50+ lbs when full)
  • Work outdoors in warm temperatures for extended periods
  • Maintain accurate and complete records in compliance with New York State requirements
  • Clearly explain services, procedures, and expectations to customers
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships
  • Identify opportunities to promote additional services when appropriate
  • Participate in team meetings and ongoing training
