Summary: Responsible for assisting the Teacher of Students with Visual Impairments and Teacher of the Deaf with students who are Deaf Blind. The intervener assists a student who is deaf-blind by providing consistent one-to-one support to help the student gain access to information and communication and facilitate the development of their social and emotional well-being. Also responsible for accompanying students on field trips, assisting students daily living skills, facilitate the process of accessing information usually gained through vision and hearing, facilitate the development of the learner's receptive and expressive communication, promote a trusting and secure relationship with the learner and with the other people in the learner's world.

Starting rate of pay is $20.52 per hour plus benefits. Range 13 ($20.52 - $33.38) - Classified Salary Schedule
