Orthodontic Registered Dental Assistant

Job Description

Assist orthodontists chairside during procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques.
Prepare and maintain treatment areas ensuring compliance with infection control and safety standards.
Take and process orthodontic radiographs in accordance with radiology protocols.
Manage patient records and documentation with confidentiality and accuracy.
Educate patients and parents on orthodontic care and oral hygiene.
Maintain inventory of orthodontic supplies and equipment.
Support a positive patient experience through effective communication and teamwork.

Salary Range

Full-time $28 - $32 per hour

Shift & Schedule

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM; Friday 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM.
Weekends closed.

Requirements
  • Basic life support
  • Certified Orthodontic Assistant
  • Registered dental assistant / Certified dental assistant

Valid Massachusetts Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Radiology certification.
Minimum 2 years of orthodontic assisting experience.
Strong knowledge of orthodontic procedures and dental terminology.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced pediatric environment.

Preferences

Formal training or certification as an orthodontic assistant.
Previous experience in a pediatric dental or orthodontic practice.
