Videographer & Content Editor, Personal Brand (Canada)

Hyprwork

Calgary, AB • On-site

Part-time

Posted 3 days ago

Job description

About Us

Hyprwork is a fast-growing operator of direct-to-consumer brands in health and wellness. This role sits outside the core DTC operation and instead supports the personal brand of Zainab Mounabbah, Founder and CMO of Hyprwork, a Forbes 30 Under 30 honoree building a public presence alongside the business. The content spans day-to-day lifestyle moments, talking-head segments, and podcast-style conversations, all filmed and produced to a professional, polished standard.

The Role

This is a combined videographer and editor role. You will be the person behind the camera and the person finishing the footage: shooting lifestyle vlogs, daily routine content, talking-head segments, and podcast segments, then editing them into finished long-form videos and short-form vertical clips. The schedule is intentionally flexible and not fixed. Some weeks involve multiple shoot days, other weeks involve none at all, driven by Zainab's actual day-to-day rather than a set production calendar. Some light scripting and content development is expected: helping shape what gets filmed and how it is structured, not simply filming whatever happens. Travel is not part of the initial trial engagement. Occasional travel later in the year is possible and will be discussed separately once the working relationship is established.

What You Will Own

Shooting original footage across formats: lifestyle vlogs, daily routine content, talking-head segments, and podcast segments, working solo without a full crew. Managing the full post-production process: editing, color grading, sound cleanup, captions, and motion graphics or lower thirds where needed. Turning raw footage into finished long-form video and short-form vertical clips for Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts. Contributing light scripting and content ideas around Zainab's day-to-day, in partnership with her rather than fully independently. Handling gear preparation and shoot logistics, including rental workflow where applicable. Adapting fluidly to a non-fixed shooting cadence, some days heavy, some days none, without needing a rigid schedule to stay productive. Maintaining organized file management and a fast, dependable turnaround on both raw and edited assets.

Requirements

What We Are Looking For

Based in Canada, able to shoot in person without relocation or visa sponsorship. Hands-on shooting and cinematography experience, not editing alone: comfortable operating a camera solo, framing, lighting, and capturing usable footage without a support crew. Strong editing craft in Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or Final Cut Pro at a professional level. Direct experience with lifestyle vlogs, daily-routine or talking-head content, or podcast-style segments, distinct from purely entertainment, gaming, or brand-campaign editing. Comfortable with a flexible, non-fixed schedule set by someone else's day-to-day rather than a production calendar. A strong instinct for what makes personal-brand content watchable: pacing, hook, and authenticity. Willingness to contribute lightly to content ideas and structure, not execution only. Reliable, self-managed, and comfortable working in close proximity to a founder with minimal oversight.

Nice to Have

Prior experience filming and editing for a founder, creator, or public figure's personal brand. Comfort with occasional travel later in the engagement, not required for the trial month. Familiarity with short-form platform best practices across TikTok, Reels, and YouTube Shorts. Experience in health, wellness, or DTC-adjacent content.

Benefits

A freelance, contractor-based engagement with direct collaboration with a Forbes 30 Under 30 founder. A trial engagement structured to test fit, with real potential to grow into a larger, more consistent role over time. Creative ownership over a personal content format built from scratch. Payment in USD via Wise or your preferred wallet.
