Job description

As a Web CMS Specialist, you will manage and maintain website content for BYU-Pathway using the Brightspot content management system (CMS). This role focuses on publishing, updating, and organizing web pages to ensure accuracy, usability, and alignment with brand and accessibility standards. You will collaborate with content writers, designers, developers, and cross-functional teams to support website updates and optimize the user experience. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and familiarity with CMS platforms and web publishing workflows.

This part-time position typically works Monday - Friday between the hours of 8 am - 5 pm. This is a remote or hybrid position. Remote work is available for Idahobased employees only; Utahbased employees will work in a hybrid capacity.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Experience working with a content management system (CMS) such as WordPress, Brightspot, Drupal, or similar
  • Strong attention to detail when formatting and publishing digital content
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a collaborative environment
  • Professional, dependable, and self-motivated
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams
  • Basic understanding of website structure and digital content publishing

Additional Qualifications

  • Familiarity with SEO fundamentals and web accessibility standards
  • Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Experience with digital asset management
  • Understanding of user experience (UX) and user-centered design principles
  • Students pursuing Communications, Digital Media, Information Systems, Marketing, or Web Design preferred
