How much do part time vestibular audiologist jobs pay per year?

As of Jun 16, 2026, the average yearly pay for part time vestibular audiologist in the United States is $87,247.00, according to ZipRecruiter salary data. Most workers in this role earn between $70,500.00 and $98,500.00 per year, depending on experience, location, and employer.

What setting do audiologists make the most money?

Audiologists tend to earn the highest salaries in hospital or medical center settings, where specialized equipment and complex cases are common. Private practices and ENT clinics also offer competitive pay, especially for audiologists with advanced certifications or specialized skills in vestibular testing. Salary can vary based on experience, location, and workload, but clinical and hospital environments generally provide higher compensation than educational or research settings.

What is the difference between Part Time Vestibular Audiologist vs Part Time Audiologist?

AspectPart Time Vestibular AudiologistPart Time Audiologist
CredentialsAu.D. or equivalent, specialized training in vestibular assessmentAu.D. or equivalent, general audiology certification
Work EnvironmentClinics, hospitals, specialized vestibular testing centersPrivate practices, clinics, hospitals
Employer & IndustryHealthcare providers focusing on balance and dizziness disordersGeneral audiology services across various settings

The main difference is that a Part Time Vestibular Audiologist specializes in balance and dizziness assessments, requiring additional vestibular training, while a Part Time Audiologist provides broader hearing services without specialized focus on vestibular issues.

Can an audiologist work remotely?

Part-time vestibular audiologists typically work in clinical settings to perform assessments and treatments, making remote work uncommon due to the hands-on nature of the role. However, some audiologists may conduct telehealth consultations or follow-up appointments remotely if permitted by licensing and practice regulations.

What other jobs can audiologists do?

Audiologists can work in roles such as hearing aid specialists, auditory processing specialists, or vestibular therapists, often requiring knowledge of audiometric testing and patient counseling. They may also work in research, education, or healthcare administration, utilizing their expertise in hearing and balance disorders.

Is AI going to replace audiologists?

AI technology can assist audiologists by improving diagnostic accuracy and streamlining administrative tasks, but it is unlikely to fully replace the role of a vestibular audiologist. Audiologists require specialized training, clinical judgment, and patient interaction that AI cannot replicate. The profession will likely evolve to incorporate AI tools as complementary resources rather than substitutes.
