General Description
The Fleet Intern will play an integral role in supporting the Safety and Risk operations, gaining valuable hands-on experience in workplace safety, risk management, and compliance initiatives. This role will provide exposure to key safety practices that contribute to a safe and thriving workforce. The intern will assist in coordinating safety program activities, conducting audits, and analyzing compliance data to support organizational safety goals.
Essential Functions
1. Assist with data entry and maintenance of fleet records.
2. Help track and update preventive maintenance schedules.
3. Support fuel usage tracking and reporting.
4. Assist with vehicle inventory audits and documentation.
5. Maintain and organize fleet files and digital records.
6. Assist with vendor communication follow-ups.
7. Help ensure compliance documentation is up to date for new and upcoming vehicles (registration, inspections, etc.)
Minimum Qualifications
Any combination of education and experience demonstrating the candidate's ability to perform successfully in this position will be considered.
1. A minimum of a high school diploma or GED issued from an approved GED administrator and currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Public Safety, or related field.
2. Ability to demonstrate intermediate-level proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
3. Any combination of education and experience which demonstrates the candidate's ability to perform successfully in this position will be considered.
4. Must possess and maintain a valid State of Florida Class E Driver's License.
