Job Description
Westgate Resorts is looking for a part-time Security Officer in Ocoee, FL. As a Security Officer, you will play a critical role in maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming resort environment for guests, team members, and visitors. This role combines traditional unarmed security responsibilities with a strong hospitality and guest service focus. In addition to protecting company assets and responding to emergencies, Security Officers serve as a visible, professional presence dedicated to guest safety and positive interactions.
This is an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in corporate security, hotel security, or hospitality-based security roles, including those new to the field.
What you will do:
  • Serve as a first responder to incidents involving medical, fire, or law enforcement emergencies, within the scope of Security Officer duties
  • Maintain a high-visibility, uniformed security presence throughout property
  • Monitor and control access at designated entry and exit points
  • Operate and monitor security systems, including surveillance cameras, fire alarm panels, and monitoring stations
  • Conduct routine safety and security inspections in accordance with company policies
  • Respond to guest and team member security concerns in a calm, professional manner
  • Prepare accurate, detailed incident reports and maintain security logs and records
  • Assist guests with safety-related requests, including lost and found management
  • Perform traffic control, parking enforcement, and crowd management as needed
  • Support public safety officials (police, fire, EMS) during incidents
  • Manage key control and accountability procedures
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by Security Leadership

  • Hospitality, guest service, or customer-facing experience
  • Previous experience in security, law enforcement, military, or protective services is a plus but not required
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic proficiency with computer systems and email
  • Ability to remain calm, professional, and decisive in high-pressure situations
  • High level of integrity, judgment, and attention to detail
  • Professional, customer-service-oriented mindset aligned with resort hospitality standards
