REPORTS TO: Banquet Manager/Clubhouse Manager
JOB SUMMARY: Assists with day-to-day parking operations and provides parking service to our club members and guests by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Reports to work on time and in proper uniform.
  • Greets members by name upon arrival and provides exceptional parking service to members and guests.
  • Strong ability to operate vehicles with manual transmissions
  • Strong ability to carry out parallel parking and maneuver vehicles safely into parking spaces
  • Organizes vehicles and manages parking area.
  • Opens doors for members and guests, and assists them as they enter and leave the clubhouse
  • Assists with any packages and opens the front door
  • Be expectant of guest needs and meet them promptly
  • Assists people with disabilities
  • Monitor commercial and personal vehicle traffic such as guest vehicles, limousines, buses, taxi cabs, Uber, Lyft, and others, and give directions to them on property to ensure proper parking of vehicles to achieve efficient flow of traffic
  • Ensures parking areas/levels are secure, safe, and always clean, and immediately gives report of any observed security problems, unauthorized personnel, or safety/vehicle hazards to the supervisor or manager
  • Keeps vehicles and vehicle keys secure and safe
  • Ensures Clubhouse entrance/valet attendant area clean and spotless
  • Follows all safety policies and procedures and has knowledge of Club Rules and Regulations
  • Conducts himself or herself in a manner consistent with club policies
  • Adheres to all club and employee policies and procedures
  • Recognizes and reports on safety issues and concerns
  • Able to work extended hours and flexible schedules based on business demand
  • Performs additional duties as required by the Banquet Manager or Clubhouse Manager

WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • Able to work in a busy environment
  • Frequently exposed to outside weather conditions that can be often slippery and wet
  • Must be able to work in a hot and humid environment

Requirements
Additional Responsibilities: Work in conjunction with Concierge to anticipate events and member use of clubhouse to anticipate member needs
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or 1 to 2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Must be at least 18 years old to work in this area

COMPREHENSION AND COMMUNICATION SKILLS
  • Strong ability to communicate in standard English language
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to speak effectively with club members, guests, or employees of the club
  • Strong ability to give information to members, guests and colleagues in a small group setting or one-on-one.
  • Ability to apply units of American currency in performing simple addition and subtraction as well as multiplication and division.
