Job description

Job Title: Estimating Assistant Division: Precision Pulley & Idler (PPI)

FLSA: Non-Exempt Grade: NA

Job Status: Part Time Travel Required: 0%

Revision Date: May 22 Reports To: Product Estimator Manager


PURPOSE OF POSITION

To provide accurate and competitive quote proposals and technical support to sales staff (Project Sales Manager) in a timely manner for pulleys, conveyor accessories, idlers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.

More specifically, the employee owner will:

  • Determine which inquiries will be quoted or declined in conjunction with Project Team.
  • Determine which facility to quote project from.
  • Perform extra assignments and related tasks in the work area.

  • Strong customer service skills. Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships. with employees and vendors.
  • Must be proficient in excel; Pivot Tables, Formatting Sheets, Math formulae, filters, etc.
  • Ability to prioritize and mange time in order to accomplish work.
  • Good organizational skills and experience in working with teams towards measured outcomes.

EDUCATION – EXPERIENCE – COMPUTER SKILLS

  • Associate’s Degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or
  • Six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience.


TRAINING – CERTIFICATIONS – LICENSES

  • Continually participate in additional training related to the job.
