Job description

            Meat Cutter  

Permanent Part-time  
Yorkton Food Store 

What you'll do: 

You will be responsible for delivering legendary service to make all guests of our Co-op feel "at home here" through:

  • Cutting - Using knives, other carving tools and equipment to cut, fillet, and trim meats for our customers 
  • Merchandising - Ensuring counters and display cases are filled and merchandised
  • Receiving - Receive, inspect and store product 
  • General Meat Department Duties - Housekeeping, opening, closing, sanitization of meat room & equipment and assisting with inventory 

Who you are: 

You are interested in customer service and have:

  • Retail Meat Specialist Certificate or Equivalent training & experience 
  • You're honest, trustworthy, is results-oriented and strive to be the best in what you do.
  • You are willing to work all shifts scheduled including days, evenings, holidays and weekends. 
  • You believe in building relationships and collaborating to deliver solutions, and you recognize the value that different perspectives bring to meeting shared objectives
  • You are physically able to do heavy lifting of 50 Ibs, climb ladders and kneel.
