This list will be valid for 6 months from the date a candidate accepts the position.

The Associate Security Specialist will be responsible for ensuring the protection of Metropolitan’s assets, employees, and visitors. The Winchester-based specialist will be assigned to the Robert Skinner Filtration Plant and will also support conveyance and distribution facilities across Riverside County.

What You’ll Do

  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert: Provide specialized expertise in physical security, large-scale infrastructure protection, investigations, and loss prevention.
  • Lead & Oversee Personnel: Direct regular, temporary, and contract security staff across multiple facilities.
  • Manage Daily Operations: Coordinate and review daily work assignments to ensure seamless security coverage.

Schedule: 9/80, Monday through Friday with every other Friday off. Monday through Thursday 9 hours per day (7:00am-5:00pm), 8 hours per day every other Friday (7:00am-4:00pm)

EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience: High school diploma or certificate of high school equivalency and nine years of relevant experience; or an associate’s degree from an accredited college or university in a related field and seven years of relevant experience; or a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a related field and five years of relevant experience.

Relevant Experience is defined as: working experience performing investigations; and working as professional security or law enforcement with a role directly related to providing large scale infrastructure protection.

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS

Employees in this position may be required to obtain and maintain the following certifications, licensing and registrations:

 

License(s): Valid California Class C Driver’s License or equivalent that allows you to drive during your employment is required at time of application.
