Vernon Woods Animal Hospital is seeking a friendly, compassionate, and organized Part-Time Veterinary Receptionist to join our growing team in Sandy Springs, Georgia, just minutes from Atlanta.

As the first and last point of contact for our clients, you'll play an essential role in creating a welcoming, supportive experience for every pet and family that walks through our doors. Position Details
  • Part-Time
  • Approximately 25 hours per week (about 50 hours per pay period)
  • Opportunity to grow into a full-time position as the hospital continues to expand and business needs evolve

As a Veterinary Receptionist, you'll help keep our hospital running smoothly while providing exceptional service to our clients and patients.

Responsibilities include:
  • Welcome clients and their pets with warmth, professionalism, and compassion.
  • Answer incoming phone calls, schedule appointments, and assist with client questions.
  • Check patients in and out efficiently while maintaining accurate medical records.
  • Process invoices, payments, and client estimates.
  • Coordinate communication between clients and the veterinary medical team.
  • Manage appointment reminders and follow-up communications.
  • Maintain an organized, clean, and welcoming reception area.
  • Support administrative tasks that contribute to efficient daily hospital operations.
  • Provide empathetic support during emotionally sensitive appointments, including emergencies and end-of-life care.

Physical Requirements

This position requires the ability to:
  • Stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday.
  • Frequently bend, kneel, stoop, and reach.
  • Lift and carry pets and supplies weighing up to 50 pounds, with assistance when appropriate.
  • Safely handle and restrain dogs, cats, and other small animals.
  • Work in a veterinary healthcare environment with exposure to animal dander, fur, saliva, cleaning and disinfecting products, medical equipment, loud noises, and occasional exposure to bodily fluids.
