Job description

ABOUT US: The Schaumburg Park District is an award-winning public agency that provides its 80,000 residents with a wide variety of recreational facilities, programs, events, parks and open spaces. The Schaumburg Park District is also home to nationally-known Olympic Park complex, which hosts thousands of visitors and guests annually at its activities and major sports tournaments. Olympic Park has eight synthetic turf sports fields, two natural grass sports fields, a skate park and garden plots.

JOB SUMMARY: As the Olympic Park Supervisor, you will be responsible for monitoring soccer field and softball fields usage and confirm that guests have rental permits; monitoring park visitors to ensure they are following park rules; overseeing skate park usage; restocking and sanitizing washrooms; removing garbage from the complex; occasionally moving soccer goals and turning on field lights; contacting Park District Rangers, Parks Department, and Facility Services Department when needed and follow accident reporting procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS: Applicants must be at least 16 years old with at least one year of relevant work experience and must hold a valid Illinois Driver's License.

SCHEDULING & PAY: This is a seasonal (Now-November), part-time position with morning, day, and evening shifts available. This position primarily works on Fridays (evenings only), Saturdays, and Sundays. Additional weekday evening opportunities may also be available. Target hiring rate is $15.00 - $20.00 per hour depending on qualifications (DOQ).
