Job in a Nutshell:
CDL Class A Delivery Drivers for Natural Grocers Distribution Center are responsible for loading and unloading trucks and making route deliveries from the warehouse to assigned stores located on the Front Range. The delivery drivers are also responsible for any return items, including pallets, recycle bales, and inter-office mail. As needed, drivers will make deliveries to and from local vendors to deliver or pick up bulk food and grocery products. CDL Delivery Drivers must possess superb customer service skills and a dependable work ethic. Driver schedules are Monday through Friday early mornings with no overnight deliveries.

Deliveries and Pick-upsLoads and unloads trucks using electric pallet jackDelivers pallets with tractor / trailer to assigned stores or to carrier locations along the Front RangePicks up food products from local vendorDelivers inter-office materials including mail, small packages, and store transfersPicks up return items for the warehouse and puts away in designated areasWarehouse SupportAssists with loading recycle trailers with bales and empty palletsAssists with unloading trailers in the warehouse and moving items to designated storage areasAssists with wrapping and staging finished palletsCompliance and Safety:Maintains drivers time record and daily manifest log, including pallet counts, starts and stops, standards for organic, and inter-office mail transfers Performs pre-, during-, and post-trip vehicle inspections; documents all pre- and post-trip inspections on daily logStops and weighs in at port of entry for clearanceCompletes logs and keeps up to date with duty changesAttends all required safety classes to maintain CDLAdheres to company policies, procedures and warehouse GMP'sAlthough this is a general outline of job responsibilities all employees are expected to be "hands on" and do whatever it takes to get the job done and make the company thrive.
Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required Valid Class A CDL license requiredMinimum 2 years CDL driving experience required; route delivery driving experience preferredPrevious forklift and pallet jack experience preferred; certification required after hireAbility to work well independently in a fast-paced environmentAbility to pass a background check, DMV check, drug screen and driver's physical examinationMust pass a vehicle inspection and road testClean MVR for 5 years

Physical Requirements:
- Must have the ability to occasionally lift or carry up to 100 lbs.

- Must be able to occasionally use the computer for data entry and use of mouse.

- Must be able to occasionally use fine motor manipulations, grip, squat, kneel, bend, twist, turn, reach outward, and reach above chest as needed.
Environmental Requirements:
- Must be able to frequently work outside for majority of the work shift.
- Must be able to occasionally work in noise, cold, heat, wet/humid, with sharp tools and equipment, contact stress, dust, fumes, vibrations, and in a congested worksite.
