Job Description
The role requires a forward-thinking storyteller with experience in live streaming, video editing, news writing, producing, and production.
- Must be knowledgeable on daily news events, aware of past events, and understand news in the New Mexico market.
- Take charge of the big headlines and weather with innovative showcasing and storytelling.
- Collaborate with managers, digital team, and assignment desk to deliver complete local news coverage that is fair and accurate.
- Produce, write, and edit memorable daily segments on all of our platforms.
- Plan, script, and produce engaging segments tailored for streaming audiences.
- Collaborate with an experienced award-winning team.
- Innovate by participating in short-form and long-form projects for our streaming channels.
- Contribute ideas for stories based on the Telemundo Nuevo Mexico News Strategy.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years' experience in newsgathering and/or production.
- Minimum 2 years' experience writing, producing and desktop editing systems.
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
- Experience line-producing newscasts
- Experience editing content on a desktop editing system
- Have strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills both in English and Spanish.
- Ability to make priority decisions under a deadline
- Strong ability to deliver news as it develops on all current and future platforms

Eligibility Requirements
- Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
- Must be willing to work in Albuquerque, NM
- Must be 18 years or older
- Required On-Site: This position is required to be performed full-time from an NBCUniversal-designated worksite.
