Critical Facilities Engineer

Location: Phoenix, AZ (Goodyear / Mesa / Avondale — on-site, shift work)

Compensation: $95,000–$150,000 + shift differential & on-call pay

The role

You'll operate and maintain the electrical and mechanical systems that keep a live data center running 24/7 — never letting the load drop. You'll be hands-on with the infrastructure, responding to alarms and leading planned maintenance across critical systems.

What you'll do

  • Operate, monitor and maintain UPS, generators, switchgear, chillers, CRAH units and BMS/EPMS
  • Execute planned preventive maintenance and method-of-procedure (MOP/SOP) work
  • Respond to and troubleshoot critical alarms, minimizing risk to live load
  • Escort and supervise contractors performing on-site work
  • Maintain accurate logs, rounds and compliance documentation

What you'll bring

  • 3+ years in a data center, hospital, semiconductor or other 24/7 critical facility
  • Solid electrical and mechanical troubleshooting ability
  • NFPA 70E awareness and a strong safety mindset
  • Willingness to work rotating shifts, including nights/weekends

Nice to have

  • EPA 608, OSHA 30, or CDCP certification
  • BMS/EPMS platform experience
  • Military background (Navy nuke, Seabee, USAF/Army electronics/power-gen) — strongly encouraged to apply
