Maintenance Tech IV hourly: $42.00 Opportunity Overview Are you ready to elevate your career in manufacturing operations and be a part of creating the world's best desserts? The company employs approximately 3,000 people across eight manufacturing facilities and its headquarters in St. Paul, Minnesota. The manufacturing facilities are geographically dispersed, with two facilities in Canada and one each in Colorado, Texas, Georgia, Massachusetts, Minnesota, and North Carolina. Our location in Pembroke, NC has an opening for a Maintenance Tech IV. Job responsibilities:
  • Identify and repair electrical and mechanical defects • Ability to be an Competency Specialist for the plant in RCA, Lubrication, PDM or other Critical Equipment Specialities • Effectively complete assigned Preventative Maintenance Plans as scheduled to eliminate unplanned downtime. • Participate in RCA on equipment and process failures to provide insight to failure and suggest corrective actions • Work Well in a team environment and understand the team is stronger as a unified group vs a team of individuals. • Train operators on maintenance techniques when called to troubleshoot or repair equipment. • Completes preventative maintenance and other reliability tasks, assist in diagnostics, repairs and rebuilds of machines; partner with engineering or others on non-routine repairs and defect handling solutions • Understands the management of Quality Systems and is familiar with SQF, HACCP, and GMP practices which help ensure the safety within the workplace and the production of a safe and quality product(s) • Will perform other duties as required by supervisor and reporting structure • Document all Maintenance work activity within CMMS System. • Effectively support the Preventative Maintenance (PM) program with a goal of continually reducing unscheduled downtime.
Who You Are:
  • Operate in the workplace in a safe and effective manner and adheres to mechanical/fluid power/electrical power and environmental rules and regulations for welding. • As competency specialist you are responsible for setting the plant standards for the area of responsibility, while ensuring the plant standards align to the Dessert Holdings Standards. • Installs aligns and adjust mechanical power transmission components (Gearboxes/Bearings/Chains/Shafts/Gears) • Ability to trouble shoot and repair power transmission, alignment of gears, and properly perform a preventative maintenance to extend machine life and prevent unplanned downtimes. • Must have ability to utilize proper measurement tools and understand how to calibrate them including Dial calipers, vernier micrometer and knows how to select right tool based on needed accuracy. This includes ability to measure TIR (run out) and flatness. • Ability to use Hoist and others tools to safely rig and move parts and equipment. • Ability to determine and cross oil and lubricants required specified by machine manufacturer and Lubricate equipment with proper tools including disposal of used lubricants and oils • Must have own tools (Required Tool List will be provided and needs to be on site within 2 weeks of hire) • Install, troubleshoot, repair and test overall pneumatic system including use of vacuum generators given schematic • Ability to Troubleshoot, repair and install properly electronic and process control systems, including ability to understand, electrical diagrams and schematics to aid in troubleshooting and repairs. • Must be able to utilize Multi meter to measure, voltage, current, continuity, amperage, resistance for incoming and entire circuit. With ability to also calculate power in a circuit given current and voltage. • Install, troubleshoot, repair and test AC/DC/Servo Motors in a manual and automated control circuit • Ability to perform basic welding including proper selection of PPE, and preparation of welding process. • Ability to Record all maintenance work within CMMS system and follow all CMMS Process and Procedures • Ability to utilize CMMS system records and OEM Drawings to help determine improvements for maintainability of equipment and identification of proper spare parts and part cross over to standard MRO from OEM • Must have a flexible schedule • Must be willing to work overtime including weekends if necessary • Proficiency in MS Office and basic PC skills • 10+ industrial Mechanical experience or two-year technical degree preferred • Must be able to read, write and speak English, preferred if can read, write and speak English and Spanish. • Must be able to successfully complete HACCP Certification • Must have Forklift License or able to complete required training within 90 days of hire
