Job Description
POSITION TITLE: Specialist, Note Endorsement
Position Summary:
This position is responsible for reviewing the note endorsement chain of the promissory note and determining curative actions necessary based on the review in accordance with company standards while providing a superior level of customer service to both external and internal customers.
Job Functions and Responsibilities:
  • Processes promissory notes by reviewing chain of title, executing internal allonges or requesting from outside third parties, and shipping to proper party when requested. Follows up as needed for pending documents.
  • Ship original documents to PHH firms or vendors as requested
  • Responds to internal and external requests received via the team mailboxes
  • Completes special projects and other duties as assigned
  • Cross trains to assist with additional job functions in the division during periods of peak volumes or deadlines

Minimum Qualifications:
  • One-year mortgage servicing or related experience
  • Working knowledge of the Promissory Note and other mortgage documents
  • Strong communication skills
  • Must have the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Must have good decision-making skills and ability to research & show initiative in solving problems
  • Must possess strong organizational skills and be able to handle multiple & changing priorities
  • Must have ability to work in and promote a team environment
  • PC Experience - Microsoft Word & Excel required
  • Effective time management to balance day to day tasks against short and long-term project deliverables
  • Prior knowledge of residential mortgage servicing, related loan documents and Agency guidelines.

  • Long periods sitting in front of a computer screen
