Responsibilities

About The Role:

The Senior Microsoft 365 Business System Analyst is a senior technical specialist responsible for architecting, governing, and optimizing Microsoft 365 solutions at enterprise scale, including work involving low‑code and no‑code development within the Power Platform. The successful candidate will combine deep knowledge of Microsoft 365 with experience creating business applications, automations, and workflows that support organizational needs. This role works closely with Project Managers, Product Owners, and Lead Engineers to gather requirements, design practical business solutions, and support enterprise migrations. The Senior Analyst leads solution implementations, guides platform governance, and serves as an escalation point for Microsoft 365 and Power Platform services. The role operates with significant autonomy, turning business needs into effective technical solutions while mentoring team members and promoting best practices.

  • Architect and govern enterprise-scale Microsoft 365 solutions across Azure, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, Entra ID, Power Platform, Copilot Studio, and Nintex
  • Work closely with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications
  • Partner with IT and other external workgroups for the integration of applications that support M365 solutions
  • Own technical standards, governance models, and reference architectures
  • Design and maintain advanced PowerShell automation and ALM frameworks
  • Lead complex Power Platform and Copilot Studio solution implementations
  • Expertise in creating Canvas Apps, Model-Driven Apps, and working with Dataverse, SharePoint, Power Automate, Copilot Studio, Nintex automation cloud, and Nintex forms
  • Serve as highest-level escalation point for complex platform issues
  • Provide direction to and mentor team members
  • Continued self-led training on upcoming trends and changes pertaining to M365 products
  • Partner with security, architecture, and enterprise platform teams
  • Adhere to best practices in coding, testing, and deployment
  • Available for On-Call and after-hour tasks

  • Strong architectural and analytical skills with the ability to design scalable, enterprise-grade solutions
  • Proven experience developing Canvas Apps and Model-Driven Apps
  • Deep expertise with Microsoft Dataverse, Power Automate, Copilot Studio, and SharePoint integration
  • Strong understanding of Power Platform Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) practices
  • Experience with Power BI integration and development
  • Solid knowledge of Azure services including Azure Functions, Logic Apps (and when to use them versus Power Automate), and Azure Key Vault
  • Experience working with REST APIs and building custom connectors
  • Strong understanding of relational databases, including SQL and Databricks
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams
  • Demonstrated ability to meet delivery timelines and execute tasks to achieve business objectives

Experience and Education

  • High School Diploma or equivalent Required
  • Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent work or military experience preferred
  • 3-5 years of experience in an IT environment and respective business area in analyzing and implementing applications systems
  • 3-5 years experience in implementing, configuring, customizing, administering, and troubleshooting M365 applications
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience within the Microsoft Power Platform ecosystem
  • Expertise in articulating the business drives and architectural approach/trade-offs during discussions for solution buy-in at various levels and gain consensus
  • Expertise in driving new infrastructure technologies from proof-of-concepts to full production implementation
  • Expertise in driving cloud migration and strategy initiatives
