Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the first contact for students, staff, and the community in the student services department.
  • Assist in sending information out to students/community about student services related content
  • Assist in scholarship application and filing
  • Work with the student services department to complete and input graduation transcripts for college acceptance
  • Maintain compliance with all CCSC policies and procedures
  • Collaborate with administration, teachers, counselors, and community members
  • Willingness to work with and assist with daily duties and tasks
  • Assist with managing the online credit recovery system for students in grades 7-12
  • Coordinate logistics for students with outside therapy providers
  • Assist with state testing schedules, material ordering, data entry, and state reporting.
  • Assist with Special Education and Section 504 state reporting, SIS data entry, conference scheduling, and administrative support to the special education co-op
  • Maintain confidential student files
  • Communicate important dates and guidelines to students, staff, and the community
  • Maintain field trip request documentation and parental permission forms
  • Provide support with new enrollments, student withdrawals, transfer applications, records requests, and transcript requests
  • Coordinate logistics with outside vendors (class rings, graduation products) to meet with students
  • Provide support for graduation program needs, order diplomas, honor cords, monthly and year end awards
  • Assist student services staff to maintain all permanent files for students
  • Provide support for all state reporting efforts
  • Serve as key contact for needs within the SIS
  • Coordinate logistics for school pictures
  • Run honor roll reports and submit to the media
  • Support NJHS and NHS leaders
  • Assist with all needs as related to student registration
  • All other duties as assigned by CCSC Administration and Student Services Dean

Contract Days: 195 Days
Contracted Hours: 8 Hours/Day
Working Hours: 7:30 am - 3:30 pm
Salary/Wages: $18.00/hour

The preferred candidate will have or be able to:
  • High School Diploma
  • Prior experience as an administrative assistant
  • Work effectively and communicate with a wide range of students, staff, and parents.
  • Utilize technology proficiently
  • Strong human relations skills, including professional tact, diplomacy and presentation.
  • Multi-task independently and implement strong organizational skills.

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
